Location: Prokurative Iako bi, da je objavljena prije desetak dana, najava iz naslova zacijelo bila protumačena kao prvotravanjska šala, “Arctic Monkeys”, jedan od najuzbudljivijih novijih izdanaka s britanske scene, 7. srpnja stižu na Prokurative. Nastup britanskih zvijezda na Prokurativama svojevrstan je “popravni” ispit za Split želi li i on biti upisan na mapu značajnijih koncertnih destinacija. Organizator koncerta je “Multikultura” – koja stoji i iza ovogodišnjeg impresivnog T-Mobile Inmusic festivala na zagrebačkom Jarunu – a cijena ulaznica vjerojatno će biti ispod 200 kuna. Koliko će točno zapadati ulaznice, kako vele u “Multikulturi”, ovisi o “suradnji” s Gradom, odnosno o visini najma gradskog prostora. Znajući da je Poglavarstvo u suradnji s “Multikulturom” do sada u Split kao dio programa za Sv. Duju dovelo Cesariu Evoru, “Gotan Project”, Spacanapoli te Seargentea Garciju, zacijelo će i ovoga puta biti postignut dogovor koji bi smanjio cijenu ulaznice. Štoviše, iako su tek sada ponovno započeli u prosincu “zamrznuti” pregovori o dovođenju neke od velikih zvijezda na Rivu, “Multikultura” i Poglavarstvo bi i ovog Sv. Duje mogli Splićanima darovati besplatan koncert. Trenutačno su u igri Grace Jones i “Pet Shop Boys”, veterani koje su u koncertni optjecaj i prvoligašku “utakmicu” ubacili novi hvaljeni albumi. Vrijedi podsjetiti da su “Arctic Monkeys” među “headlinerima” ovogodišnjeg EXIT-a te razlog zašto se u Novi Sad sprema mnogo fanova iz Hrvatske. Location: Slottsskogen 14 augusti och 15 augusti, året är 2009. Det började sjuda i Göteborg redan veckor tidigare. Folks högtalare och hörlurar vibrerar i takt med Göteborgarnas hjärtan. Veckan blir nummer 33, hela Göteborg är på fötter, dansande lätta fötter. Kultur som värmer, vänder upp och ner på folk. Musik som upplyfter, förvånar och gläder. Slottsskogen öppnas den 14 och 15 augusti 2009 för världen - världens bästa och nu mest intressanta artister. Skogen slår upp portarna för öppna öron och nyfikna sinnen. Den 14-15:e augusti 2009 är Way Out West tillbaka, nu i samma vecka som Göteborgs Kulturkalas. Vi är kvar i Slottsskogen. Vi kommer att boka världens bästa artister. Det vet vi. Resten av festivalen befinner sig i en kreativ och virvlande soppa och kommer att tas upp lagom till vecka 33. Håll kontakten så berättar vi mer framöver. Till exempel när biljetterna släpps.

Vandaag de dag is het één van de grootste alternatieve openluchtfestivals van België. Pukkelpop gaat prat op een progressieve muziekprogrammatie, waarbij onvergetelijke topacts afgewisseld worden met verrassend, opkomend talent. Jaar na jaar trekt het internationale publiek naar Hasselt omwille van de combinatie van de grootste actuele kleppers, de nog levende legendes en de meest visionaire alternatieve acts uit de uithoeken van het muzikale landschap. Elk jaar, verdeeld over drie dagen van donderdag tot en met zaterdag, treden een tweehonderdtal acts aan op één van de acht podia. De camping area opent zijn deuren op de dag voor het festival; lokale party-DJ’s serveren dan een eclectische warm-up voor het driedaagse muzikale festijn. Pukkelpop is een unieke en allesomvattende belevenis waarbij niet enkel de muziek, maar ook het randgebeuren zorgen voor een intense verbondenheid tussen het openminded festivalpubliek.

The dates for Reading Festival 2009 are confirmed as on the bank holiday weekend, from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire. The headliners for this year's festival will be Kings Of Leon (Friday), Arctic Monkeys (Saturday), and Radiohead (Sunday). For the day, stage splits, line-ups and rumours where available, please click here. Tickets have sold out and were priced at £175 for a weekend ticket, £70 a day ticket, and £10 for an early bird Thursday entry ticket. Campervan and Caravan permits cost £20 in advance and £30 on the gate. Car park passes are £5 in advance this year, or £10 on arrival. Over 18's wristband will be optional, but allow those that look young to not have to carry ID around all the time. There has been the occasional re-release of tickets, to see if they might be available, click here. Note: This year tickets will not be on sale at the gate. There will be no box office of any kind. All tickets will be sent out to customers. Overseas customers will need to pick up tickets from The Hexagon. Children under 13 (12 and under) are admitted free but MUST be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Please note there is no separate children's area at this event, and eFestivals considers this an event not really suitable for children. Festival Republic produces a guide to Disabled Access and Facilities for all it's festivals, which includes details of the 2-for-1 ticket scheme. On site facilities include: Bars, Cash Points, First Aid & Paramedics, Food & Non Food Stalls, Information. There's a few alterations for 2009. The arena is to be extended at the Western end to create more space for the Radio One tent, make room for an extra block of loos and improve the levels of music on site, without increasing the disturbance off site for residents. A new policy on Crowd Surfing. The policy has been revised and if attendees come over the barrier for fun, they will be put back onto road G4 and made to walk back down to the arena entrance to come back into the arena that way, the long way The Arena Entrance has moved, the layout will change this year to ease the flow in and out. Campsite toilets have been rearranged within the campsites, the site map when available will show this. There are to be NO aerosols (over 100ml) or gas canisters. If you want to cook outside your tent you bring bring disposable barbecues only. Anyone seen with canisters or cylinders will be ejected from site. There will be no Indigo Zone this year. What was indigo last year will revert back to brown and purple. As with previous years organisers Festival Republic are keen to encourage festival goers to respect the local residents and the environment, and to encourage everyone to leave their cars at home. Coach: There are normally special National Express and See Coaches festival services running directly into the site from all over the UK. The Lift Share scheme: If you have to bring your car to Reading then why not try the lift-share scheme. It will reduce traffic congestion to the festival; you can split petrol costs between you, and helps reduce global warming at the same time. Peak traffic flows are likely on the Thursday and on the morning of the Friday as festival goers arrive on site. Most traffic is expected to depart the site late in the evening on the Sunday and before noon on the Monday. Over the years, a host of bands have started their careers here, from Nirvana to Underworld and the biggest names in music have written the opening chapters of their stories at Leeds. As the years go by, the line-up for this event gets better and better and this year will be no exception!
