**************** BAND INFO ****************

HOCICO (mex)
 - The industrial electro legends in Oslo for the 3rd time!

When Erk Aicrag (lyrics, vocals) and Racso Agroyam (programming) formed Hocico back in 1993, little did the two Mexicans know that they were to become one of the most successful hard Electro acts of all time. “We never had in mind how much our music might sell. We only had a strong desire to express our feelings and to do what we wanted. We wanted to break the rules of society. The restrictions which others superimpose on us have always been a great source of inspiration. This hasn’t changed until the present day. Only the way that we express ourselves has undergone subtle changes”, Erk explains. While the debut album “Odio Bajo el Alma” was very raw and uninhibited EBM, the next two releases were gearing towards clearer structures. The aggression on “Cursed Land” and “Sangre Hirviente” was channelled for maximum impact and combined with catchy melodies and harsh beats. This concept managed to appeal to an ever-growing fan base, although the band’s basic concept remained the same. Sex, lies, death, abuse and religion have always dominated the group’s lyrics. The duo explains: “Hocico is our way to express our feelings in an honest and straightforward fashion. We are aiming at conveying these emotions to our listener with full impact in order to make them become aware of and deal with their own dark side”.

[:SITD:] (ger)
 - Second time in Norway!

Bone-crunching beats and apocalyptical electro, pumped into the world from the Ruhrgebiet, the former industrial heart of Germany – that is [:SITD:]. The name stands for Shadows In The Dark, but without light no shadow can be and [:SITD:] certainly are a bright spot in the dark music scene. Ever since their initial success “Snuff Machinery” hit the club floors in 2002 the band is known and recognized for their trademark industrial electro beats crossed over by trance sequencers and epic string landscapes. The Accession Records signed trio Carsten Jacek, Thomas ‘Tom’ Lesczenski and Francesco ‘Frank’ D’Angelo have also collaborated with VNV Nation mastermind Ronan Harris, and have delivered some of the genre’s most successful remixes of all time - including the unforgettable ”Herzlos” from Absurd Minds, ”This Is Deutsch” from Eisbrecher and Tactical Sekt’s ”Xfixiation”.

GOD MODULE (usa)
 - First time in Norway!

The Metropolis Records signed trio God Module combines elements of harsh Techno, Darkwave, Goth and Industrial. Pounding beats mix with hypnotic synth hooks, deranged film samples and psychotically-effected vocals to make up a sound that is as disturbing as it is danceable. After 4 full length CD's, 3 EP's and hundreds of live performances around the world, God Module is still evolving into the monster it was meant to be. God Mod founder and mastermind Jasyn Bangert has brought his childhood dreams to life as musical nightmares. Aided by God Mod members Clint Carney and Courtney Bangert, God Module take all the common Electro - Gothic - Industrial cliches and systematically tear them apart. They are unnaturally stitched back together again to create a constantly mutating soundtrack to the most fucked up horror film you will never see...your life!

JÄGER 90 (ger)
 - First time in Norway!

The Out of Line Records signed duo Thoralf Dietrich and Vigo Stahlmann a.k.a. Jäger 90 play Electronic Body Music! Raw, no-frills and hand-made, without computers and the aid of a safety net. On their third long player, aptly titled “Fleisch macht böse”, they wrap up social criticism, your daily madness, fetish, love and interpersonal affairs in lashing electro beats and mercilessly thumping sequencers, in the best DAF-tradition. Meat creates evil, humanity is going nuts and sex is war – with polished combat boots and always keeping an eye on the bass level, Jäger 90 slam dance at the edge of the apocalypse, while the rest goes down smiling over a glass of champagne. “Fleisch macht böse” is the perfect alternative draft to the average hit-formula, computer-bred vapourware they try to sell you as the next big thing. Honest, German-language, electronic music to stimulate legs, brains and muscles. For fans of the new and rising wave of old school, retro and ”anhalt” EBM!

CONTAINER 90 (swe)
 - First time in Norway!

Why have just one of the two EBM ”90”-bands, when you can have both?
Container 90, also signed to Out of Line, is pure electronic punk! More than 20 years ago, Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb kicked off a genre called EBM and became the formative powers behind its sound. It is no secret that the EBM die-hards have long been searching for new heroes that are willing and able to blow the dust out of the clubs and well-kept record collections with a smashing sequencer-based high-speed attack. At the moment there seems to be only one group that can tackle this gargantuan task: Container 90. Ron and Jon seem to have the essence of pure EBM infused into their blood. For the two Swedes, these three letters do not just stand for a musical genre but for a whole way of life. Two years ago, their self-produced “Scandinavian Masters” exploded into the hearts of the flat tops, stompers and pogo-freaks and their gigs quickly became sweaty fun-battles with excessive physical exertion. In short: the old school freaks were in for a mighty treat! The duo’s concept is as unique as it is effective, as Container 90 are not giving a damn on listening habits, conformity and commerciality and their sound, deeply rooted in the Eighties, sports the same sort of aggression and in-your-face attitude that we have come to know from raunchy punk- and hardcore bands. The brutal sound of mistreated analog machines, rude shouts and lyrics that show the establishment the finger (…but always with a hint of tongue-in-cheek humor) form an unholy alliance with an organic onslaught of drums… you have to be deaf or lame to not be instantly hooked. Lace your boots and go marching to the “World ChampionShit!” We welcome the HARDEST EBM-band ever!
