Rock Beyond Belief (Fort Bragg) festival on 31 Mar 2012

Location: Fort Bragg N.C.

Rock Beyond Belief is an ambitious project that will be putting on a free festival consisting of secular speakers and musicians, both big name and small. We are a small grass-roots outfit, but we have the backing of many major secular and military foundations. Currently we are focusing on a large-scale event that will be on the main post parade field on Fort Bragg. Eventually Rock Beyond Belief wants to spread the message to many other military installations.

We are not interested in just being a counter-event to the offensive Rock the Fort concert. We are also not interested in putting on an anti-christian, anti-religious, or anti-anything event. Rock Beyond Belief is A Day of Fun and Entertainment for the Rest of Us.

In the spirit of Richard Dawkins’ Out Campaign, we are embracing the fact that just by coming out and saying “we are non-theists, and also we are your firefighters, your military members, and your neighbors and friends” that we help to shed the negative connotations and debunk the myths associated with being a non-believer.

End of the Road Festival on 31 Aug 2012

Location: Larmer Tree Gardens

Like a lot of festival goers we had always joked around saying "wouldn't it be nice to put on our own 'perfect' festival with our favourite line up". It was only after having been to a small and intimate festival in 2005 that Simon thought to himself that we can actually make this happen and put on our own quality festival. Simon teamed up with his friend Sofia, and the kind of festival they set out to create was one where:

You won't get all the over hyped bands headlining
Most bands play longer sets than usual
You can eat a range of quality food
You can drink a range of quality beers
The staff and security care about everyone and show respect
The crowd will be there for the MUSIC
We take pride in being an independent festival.
The idea with the End of the Road Festival was to organise an intimate festival with our favourite artists and to create a festival with a friendly and relaxed feel.

The Larmer Tree Gardens (North Dorset/Wiltshire borders, UK) is the perfect venue to create this kind of atmosphere - where music-loving, open minded and chilled out people get together in the beautiful countryside whilst parrots and peacocks wander around!

This is the kind of festival where the ENTIRE line-up is the headliner in itself!

End of the Road festival takes a lot of pride in all the 'little things' that make a great festival, such as good food (organic and local where possible), good beer, caring and well-mannered staff, good site decorations, hygiene etc.

We encourage band participation in all areas of the festival, and some acts will be invited to dj, present workshops and many other things besides. The festival has the kind of atmosphere which encourages collaboration and 'special' events - in previous years we've seen acts such as I'm from Barcelona, Ed Harcourt, Josh Ritter, Herman Dune, Frida Hyvonen and Darrren Hayman all playing surprise sets in and around the festival site, as well as a few unexpected collaborations (thank you Ryan Adams who picked up the drum sticks for Jolie Holland's set, and the Brakes/Seapower/Soft Parade boys).

As one of the festival organisers is Swedish, there will also be a slight Scandinavian touch to the festival with the old Viking game Kubb that all festival goers are welcome to try out, as well as a Scandinavian showcase of up and coming Nordic talent.
