Guide to TIME DISTORTION

The following is a brief guide to distorting time. By following these simple steps you can experience time on another level, experience it bend, dilate and take on a new life.

Doing any of the following is at your own risk, I do not advise doing any of it; this is merely a guide to achieving the affect but the risk is yours.

Step 1. Smoke some marijuana, smoke quickly and enough to at least get you high not just buzzed. The quicker you smoke the better. I suspect that taking some psychoactive drugs such as LSD or Psilocybin Mushrooms may indeed be better although I have not tried this myself yet.

Step 2. Adjust your music playing device to a good volume (the temperature perfect for metal).

Step 3. Take a comfortable seat, couch is usually best.

Step 4. Play Gorod - Disavow Your God.

As the song progresses into epic tapping etc you will find that time takes on a new meaning, your perception of time will change and time will become different.

Notes: Gorod - Disavow Your God is the archetype of time distortion metal, there may be other tracks which possess the time distortion properties but are yet to be fully investigated and experimented with, I suggest trying Necrophagist - Advanced Corpse Tumor or Fermented Offal Discharge. You will of course experience more powerful effects if you have not listened to these songs before... Meaning if you're listening for the first time you will experience the strongest effects and these get weaker each time you listen.

That's right, this is the third time I'm doing musical summary of the year, although nobody cares. Anyway, this time a number of albums rated is the highest so far (I'm too lazy to count though)... yet, I haven't managed to give a listen to every album I wanted, maybe I'll get better luck next year.
Please, note that 7/10 isn't really a high mark - let's say that 6 is for albums which are flawed, yet listenable. 7 means good, but forgettable. 8 is reserverd for very good CDs, and, as you may or may have not figured out, 7.5 is something in between.

I've decided to give one perfect 10. Actually, I do not believe in pure perfection, so let's say - 10 here means 'as close as it gets'.

En mi escuela las personas son tan ignorantes que de inmediato etiquetan el metal (o la "metálica", como ellos dicen) como música satánica, sin ninguna base para decir eso. Por esos motivos me digné a hacer una exposición en mi escuela a la que llamé "Música satánica", la cual decía más o menos lo siguiente:

Al escuchar "música satánica" apuesto a que ya pensaron en el heavy metal... qué lamentable.
Durante la edad media, la iglesia acusaba a los mejores compositores/intérpretes [de algún instrumento] de haber hecho un pacto con satán para obtener esas habilidades, por ej., a Niccolò Paganini. ¿La iglesia tenía bases para decir que los musicos habían hecho pacto con el demonio? No.
Ahora, ¿en qué se basan ustedes para decir que el metal es satánico?, ¿saben al menos qué dicen las letras?. Habrá canciones que traten sobre la muerte, matar sin remordimiento o sobre política, pero ¿tan siquiera mencionan a Dios, o a satán? En algunas sí mencionan a Dios (o a "dioses"), pero no lo denigran, más bien le piden "ayuda"... Incluso existe algo llamado "White metal", que es, precisamente, metal cristiano. Sin embargo, y aunque suene contradictorio, grupos como Slayer sí ofenden a Dios, pero el mismo Tom Araya (escritor de las letras) ha dicho que es católico y que va a la Iglesa, pero que esas letras o títulos (de los álbums) "Got hate us all" son geniales (al menos para vender).

Ahora, ¿alguien sigue pensando que el heavy metal es satánico?.

Si bien, fue algo corta la exposición que dí, al menos logró con su cometido: Sacarles de la mente a mis compañeros de clase que todo el heavy metal es satánico.

5 años de tu asesinato, Dimebag Darrell.

Hace 5 años, en un concierto de Damageplan en el club Alrosa Villa, en Columus, Ohio, uno de los mejores guitarristas (en mi opinión) fue asesinado. Nathan Gale, de 25 años de edad, asesinó a Dime, dándole 5 disparos en la cabeza, causándole la muerte casi instantaneamente. Este sujeto también asesinó a varias personas del público, y a un guardia de seguridad. Él tenía un rehen (Brooks). Cuando éste se movió el oficial James D. Niggemeyer le disparó a Gale en la nuca con una escopeta calibre 12, al fin terminando con el "infierno" que se desató en el club ese día.

En mi opinión personal, espero que Gale se esté pudriéndo en el infierno, pues lo que hizo no tiene ningún perdón, ni siquiera con motivo de "la ruptura de Pantera".
