In an effort to organize myself the arduous task called ''Best Albums in 2010'', I have, here, a list of all albums released in 2010 that I have listened to.



01. High Violet by The National

The band tackles different subjects throughout their songs: from stories about nervous love to isolated and haunting pieces about friendship to songs about regret, commiseration, and sorrow. 'Terrible Love' for instance, it isn't necessarily so bad, it's just about being overwhelmed by this emotion of love, whatever that is, or if you did something wrong to someone you love. There's a lot of stress and anxiety on there. But the music, even if rarely ‘happy’, is almost always hopeful. Therefore, the songs do not leave you feeling down and downright depressed; they give you hope – hope that someday you will overcome your miseries, sorrows and regrets. For me, The National’s tracks are pieces of comfortable sadness.
