The guy has been touching our hearts with that falsetto, and I hope he'll keep on keepin' on. Could we give him the title "Best Falsetto Singer of the late 90's"? Could we?

9 - Emmanuel Rahiem LeBlanc

Lead vocalist of GQ, many people still think there's a guest vocalist on "Disco Nights". But it's actually Rahiem, and in the outro of "Sad Girl" he dunks it hard for two.

8 - Wayne Cooper

Former lead vocalist of Cameo, his best work was, I believe "Why Have I Lost You", he sounds like Teena Marie on this song. I'm serious.

7 - Eddie Kendricks & Phillip Bailey

Kendrix's falsetto ability needs no words. He helped the popularization of this style with that powerful voice, R.I.P.

And the latter is, as you know the lead singer of Earth, Wind and Fire. He remains as one of the most influential falsetto singers ever.

6 - Prince

I prefer his natural voice, but his falsetto adds too much soul to the joint, listen to his first three albums, and you'll understand what I'm saying. Stiiiiiilll waiting!

5 - Eldra "El" DeBarge

They say he's a genius on the piano, but they're skipping the point that he plays his vocal-cords as well as he plays his piano. All this props is waiting for you, El.

4 - Michael Jackson

I don't feel like talking about his vocal ability, king of pop doesn't need any compliments.

3 - Barry Gibb

The Bee Gee is so gangsta! It's no surprise he and his brothers had been burnin' all the discos down for more than a decade, his falsetto would still be good to go with some production by Arif Mardin.

2 - Marvin Gaye

The road to all the women's heart is called "falsetto", and Marvin used to take that road on his way to work. R.I.P, soul man!

1 - Curtis Mayfield

His album "Superfly" has the greatest examples of falsetto singing, and that's a fact. Falsetto is known as a tool that creates a romantic ambience, but that tool has other usages, like takin' some hands off the drugs. R.I.P, Curtis!

Don't Hate "J.T Taylor" Y'all!

I'm talkin' bout James "J.T." Taylor, the former vocalist of Kool & The Gang. I'm talkin' bout an underrated singer and those who never got their soul touched after hearing him singing "Too Hot" are either soulless or lying! I guess that's why Kool & The Gang went on to become an 80's icon, from being a nationwide funk-jazz ensemble. People are not happy with this change anyway.

Alright, "Fresh", "Cherish", "Joanna", "Tonight", "Victory", "Misled" don't have that rich sound, you still hear those great saxophone and guitar solos, and Disco music is hated by a big number of people, and you can say they sold out cause they started to make Pop songs to hit the charts.

I'm not feelin' that holmes, I understand why Jazz and Funk fans are disappointed at that swift change, but I don't know why 80s freaks hate their post-J.T image. I got their documentary "Kool and The Gang - Decade", which includes some footage of their live performances, and I'm mind-blown after watching that. J.T could rock the stage!

I can understand why people who were born around 60s hate J.T anyway, that's prolly because ladies used to be crazy for him.

Last night I was bored as hell, and there was nothing good on TV, so I decided to watch MTV, "maybe i can catch up with some Oldskool jams" I thought.

But damn! All I could see was some "suckers" with braces (they call it grillz or that was something like that), XXL t-shirts, baggy-jeans, headbands and golden chains.

Dammit! No creativity. No shit to make you say "Oh damn, that was smooth!". No freaky dances, no fly outfits, no tricky rhymes. I could hear the lines "I'm still ballin'", "I'm in da club, gettin' money". Just switched it off.

I don't know if it's cool to kill people that don't respect you, go to clubs to do some grinding, dealing drugs, pimping... But nowadays it certainly sells!

I wish i could bring the Oldskool Hip-Hop back! The funky basslines, kickass samples, funky beats, tricky rhymes!

I couldn't see the days when rhyming was fun! And hip-hop was not commercialized! What a damn pity!

Now some suckers are running Hip-Hop! Suckers with guns, suckers with XXL t-shirts, muscular suckers, grill-wearing suckers, suckers with no talent, suckers with no soul, suckers that have nothing but money!

And the people who's trying to keep Rap alive. Keep fighting, brothers! Common, Jurassic 5, Chuck D, KRS-One and Marley Marl, Guru, Kool Keith, Native Tongues Posse, Pete Rock and the other Trueskool brothers!

You help Hip-Hop survive! Ignore these suckers!
