After 17 years of bringing you the most wretched Metal I could dig up, BARBARIAN WRATH is closing, effective immediately.

When I started releasing CDs back in 1994 traditional Metal was an endangered species. Wedged between Norsecore and Mallcore there was hardly anyone noticing bands who actually played real Metal. I'm not claiming I was instrumental in the change that has occurred since but I've certainly had my part. Looking at how the traditional Metal scene flourishes today I'm rather satisfied.

Health issues also factor into this decision. There are simply not enough hours in a day to properly deal with my full time job, family obligations, keeping on top of a chronic disease (that can become life threatening if I am not careful) and the label. I've tried just "taking it easy" and it doesn't really work for me, the bands or the customers so the logical step is to end.

I want to thank those bands who have trusted me with their precious creations and have not stabbed me in the back when they had the chance. I'm looking forward to pissing on the graves of those who couldn't wait to do just so. That anticipation has now been well rewarded. Ten brand new rough and ready, in your face metal smashers leaping out of the speakers to savage the listener like a rabid wolf.

Since the demo Aldo has joined on guitar, with John still manning the bass and Simon and Emily from The Lamp of Thoth (and all prayers to the gods of metal that the Lamp’s rumored grave be shallow and premature, the world needs that band) on vocals and drums respectively. Other than that addition to the lineup, not much has changed. The magnificent beast that first roared on the demo is just bigger, stronger and more experienced.

When you release 666 CDs you are bound to end up with unused overstock since no pressing plant on Earth or in Hell will ever be able to make you just that number. So all those years I had unused CDs piling up and cluttering up my house while desperate fans were paying top cash to bastards on eBay to get their hands on a physical copy of their favourite yet long sold out CD. Since I don't have the financial means to reprint every album I sell out of I have decided to mark the remaining copies with an "XXX" in the numbering spot (hence the project name) and sell those to ease the pressure. I hope this is in everybody's best interest except those leeches on eBay who are trying to gouge you of your hard-earned cash. Here we go...:
