Doch auch in der Greifswalder Straße sammelt sich am Abend ein kleines Grüppchen vorm magnet club um eine der talentiertesten Bands dieser Tage zu sehen: The Fall of Troy und dessen hochgeschätzte Band Daughters.
Der magnet club ist ein ziemlich kleiner Veranstaltungsort welcher aber nur zur Atmosphäre beiträgt, so kommen auch die markanten Daughters durchs Publikum auf die Bühne. Der Sound von Daughters zwingt einen voll in die Knie, ob man will oder nicht. Der gasamte Showauftritt ist, kurz gefasst, ein einziger Ausraster von ein paar hysterischen, epileptischen Amis die den Grind- und Mathcore bereichern. Ob das ganze Spektakel nur Show ist soll lieber jeder mit sich selbst ausmachen. Besonders der Sänger hat sich folgendes Motto auf die Stirn geschrieben: Im Grindcore ist alles erlaubt was geschmacklich wehtut. So besabbert er ständig sein mit eh schon Rotze eingeweichtes Shirt, ritzt sich an verschiedensten stellen oder hängt das Mikro an die Decke um seine Hände nah bei seinen Weichteilen zu haben. Eigentlich eine sehr "innovative" Angelegenheit..
Nach einen gefühlten Soundcheck von ein paar Stunden breitet sich die Feuersbrunst in Troja von einem Moment zum anderen schlagartig aus. Die junge Band zeigt auf allerhöchstem Niveau wie technisch brilliant sie ihre Instrumente beherrschen, sie beweisen mit ihren atemberaubenden Saitenfrickeleien und brachialen Shouts ihre Klasse. Nicht umsonst hat Thomas Erak verkündet: "Wenn du es langsam magst, geh und kauf dir die Platte". Immer wieder bemerkenswert ist es das die Band aus gerademal drei Leuten beteht, es ist einfach umwerfend wie schnell Erak im einen Moment noch rau in das Mikro brüllt und im anderen Moment melodisch zu den vielseitigen Rhytmussektionen singt. Besonders war auch der neue, überaus schnelle Song deren Namen ich vergessen habe. Der setzte die Messlatte dann doch noch etwas höher, mal sehen ob der auf Platte ähnlich begeistern kann. Abschließend war das "Finale" dann doch der eigentliche Höhepunkt wo der Daughters-gitarrist noch mal auf die Bühne kam um Thomas Erak abzulösen, damit er dann noch ordntlich ohne behindernder Gitarre abgehen konnte.
Abschließend bleibt nur zu sagen das dies das beste Konzert war das ich bisher besucht habe, und das wird wahrscheinlich einigen so gehen. Von dieser Band ist noch die ein oder andere Heldentat zu erwarten, man darf auf die Zukunft gespannt sein!

I began to love last.fm every day more and more. The website is the best application on Web 2.0 for me. Especially the functions like the taste-o-meter, the radio or groups, neighbours and events are so much devastating.
Currently I like to present my musical taste in the light of my top 10 charts.

1. Place: As I Lay Dying. They´re a christian metalcore band from San Diego, California. The singer Tim Lambesis is awesome. Beside, I´ve seen them before some days live, it was fantastic. My favourite tracks of them are 94 Hours, Reflection and Confined.

2. Place: It Dies Today. They´re a metalcore band based in Buffalo, New York. The group's music is a blend of brutal riffs and punishing breakdowns coupled with driving melodies. The band would start recording with their new vocalist in June or July 2007. My favourites are A Threnody for Modern Romance, Marigold and Freak Gasoline Fight Accident.

3. Place: Arctic Monkeys. The group are an English indie rock band originating from High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. They´re a little bit mainstream but they do greatest indie music. The band achieved their success through fan-made demo tapes and online file-sharing. My favourites are Dancing Shoes, Brianstorm and I bet you look good on the Dancefloor.

4.Place: He Is Legend. The band is a post-hardcore band formed in Wilmington, North Carolina and signed to Solid State Records. The band consists of vocalist frontman Schuylar Croom, guitarist Adam Tanbouz, drummer Steven Bache, bassist Matt Williams, and guitarist Mitch Marlow. The album I am Hollywood is the best, I think. My favourites are The Seduction, Eating a Book and Do you think I am pretty?

5. Place: Sepultura. This is one of the best metalbands in the whole world. They´re a Brazilian thrash metal band, formed in 1984. Sepultura recorded 13 longplayer. My fuckin favourites are Born Stubborn, Cut-Throad and Convicted in Live.

6. Place: Billy Talent. They´re a Juno Award-winning Canadian rock band formed in 1993. They performed and recorded together for about a decade before finding a wide mainstream following. Originally called Pezz, the group originates from Mississauga, Ontario. My favourites are This is how it goes, Lies and Where is the Line?

7. Place: From Autumn To Ashes. This group is an American post-hardcore/metalcore/screamo band from Long Island. The band mixes melodic riffing with post-hardcore and metalcore. My favourites are Sugar Wolf, The After Dinner Payback and Let´s have a war.

8. Place: Lamb of God. Lamb of God is a Grammy-nominated five-piece band from Richmond, Virginia, which plays an aggressive style of groove metal and metalcore, formerly known as Burn the Priest. They have sold over 1 million albums in the U.S. alone. I´ve seen them live the last days, too. My favourites are Blood on the Scribe, Ruin and Blood Junkie.

9. Place: Clueso. He is a german Singer, Rapper and Songwriter who was born in Thüringen. Clueso recorded the nice albums Text und Ton, Gute Musik und Weit weg. My favourites are Wart mal, Pizzaschachteln and Crash.

10. Place: Bloc Party. They´re an English indie rock band. In 2005, the band released their critically acclaimed debut album Silent Alarm. Their second studio album was a Weekend in the City. Bloc Party's own variation of spiky guitar rock draws on influences such as The Cure, Gang of Four, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Joy Division, and XTC, but the band says that some of these bands are just comparisons. The drumming on Bloc Party songs is often influenced by the London dance and R&B scene whilst the guitar demonstrates typical indie sharpness with alternative panned chords and fast chord picking. My Favourites are Helicopter, Hunting for Witches and Like Eating glass.
