Fear Before The March Of Flames - The Always Open Mouth (2006)
Some guy (or girl) from the 1992 forum called this the best album of all time. That is a daring statement, so it was a good moment to try it. And I have to say this album is excellent. Together with White Pony, the best album for youngsters.

Ram-Zet - Neutralized (2009)
Just another random download, but this avant-garde metal album was really surprising. The female vocals are stunning and as a whole the album definitely invites to more spins.

The Chasm - Farseeing the Paranormal Abysm (2009)
Dark and evil death metal release from this legendary Mexican band. Best DM album of 2009? I agree.

Roosbeef - Ze Willen Wel Je Hond Aaien Maar Niet Met Je Praten (2008)
Fantastic dutch singer-songwriter. Spinvis, eat your heart out!

Talk Talk - Laughing Stock (1991)
Essential early post-rock album, and makes you forget all their other albums.

Most disappointing albums

Shrinebuilder - Shrinebuilder (2009)
Supergroup with membes of Neurosis, Melvins and Om! And another proof supergroups don't work.

Carcass - Heartwork (1993)
I expected more melodeath. Now it's rather bland death metal.

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden (1997)
I wanted to try Talk Talk's post-rock works to make me forget their synthpop stuff. But it didn't worked, Laughing Stock is way better.

Van Halen - Van Halen II (1979)
It would be hard to make this equal to their debut album, but this is a little too much steps back.

Hopesfall - The Satellite Years (2002)
Metalcore? Screamo? I couldn't figure out. Not that I bothered anyway.

Plunderphonics, what a surprise. This Canadian guy puts together all kinds of artist (like Godspeed You! Black Emperorand Anathema) and lets it sound like something unfamiliar, uncertain and maybe claustrophobic. This is purely music to listen alone to. Try it out, his stuff is all free!

It were song from ParagonX9, an artist which I still like. Now I've heard dozens of more artists, and currently Black Sun Empire is my favorite.

Why I like DnB? Well, I've no idea actually. Maybe because the combination of drums + bass + synth is really my taste. I've always loved electronic. I think because my dad has of those cool synthesizer cd's, with artists like Vangelis, J.M Jarre etc.
