So I finally got down to building a project with the Last.fm API. As a musician I've always thought Last.fm was a great resource, but while it provided a great way for users to find new artists it lacked a way for artists to find new fans. To solve this, I created the Last.fm Fan Finder.

Using similar artist and top fan data, the Last.fm Fan Finder creates a list of users who should be (but aren't yet) listening to a particular artist. Check it out at http://fanfinder.dinosaurseateverybody.com/

Once again I'm using my DinosaursEatEverybody title as a masthead for a project of mine. This time I'm taking a bunch of the current and former bands I've played in and uploading our CDs under the label Dinosaurs Eat Everybody.

So far this includes... Davenport, Captain Supreme, Miss April, and Hello Bert. Hopefully I'll get some stuff up for Semiself and Professor Science recorded soon and I can add that, too.

Hey, I'm not sure who reads this but I figured that the musicians and music fans on this site would be intersted in the new site/blog I've launched. Its called bandGeek, and it's a resource of articles to help musicans best take advantage of tech resources that are available. I recently wrote an article about last.fm. Check it out and tell anyone else who might be interested about it.

Hey, help me make my bands seen as well as heard. Go to the Davenport and Captain Supreme pages and vote for the images I uploaded for my bands. Also please go to the Davenport website, http://www.davenport-rock.com and download some music (from our Music section) and give it a listen. Help us boost our rankings (and maybe find some music you dig).
