Alright, so starting 24 hours ago (nearly exactly) I took it upon myself to listen to Failure's Fantastic Planet continuously for as long as possible. As I said, 24 hours ago I started this. Its still going strong. Am I insane for doing this? Maybe. That is a definate possiblity. However, this album really is that good. I've read so many listings of tracks people have liked this year. Honnestly, I haven't liked anything to come out this year. It all sounds the same. No, that is not true. What I have heard sounds the same. There is certian to be something out there which is new and innovative, but I have yet to come across it. I am looking forward to Tool's New album, but that is it of what I have heard of. Which gets me back to my main point. I have really not heard anything incredibly innovative in the way of concept albums in a while. Again, I could be missing something, and Pain of Salvation has impressed me, but something is still missing. It all seems to be too for profit. Fantastic Planet is not like that. It is an actual statement of something, it becomes more than music.

I don't mean to offend everybody. Just some. Really I don't know what I mean. Maybe Failure is getting to me. But, in any case, I will continue my quest. I plan to listen to this album continuously until Wednesday, even while I sleep. Watch as my playcount for them rises to even more rediculous levels. And I beg of everyone, try it out. Give it a chance. It is the last world of a band who died far too soon.
