I will start with French DJs, since French funk scene is quite alive. My favs:

-) Dj Kamel. His Funky Vibes line is quite impressive, with research for some unknown artists. While the volume 1 is still clumsy, the other volumes are really a good work. Check him out! 6 "Funky Vibes" releases and 1 "Barry White's" tribute (you MUST check this one!)

-) DJ Pheel's & DJ Der-K. They surf on a mainstream line, with well-known artists. But the mixes are pleasant to listen to. 2 "Feel the Funk" releases hitherto.

-) DJ Sameer. Less worked than the former one, but less mainstream too. A good runner-up. 3 "Funk Premium" releases.

-) DJ BIGES. One of my favourites ;) Really good mixes in my opinion. He has a gift to give a new breath of life to some songs. 3 "80' minutes of funk".

Some other DJs I like : DJ DEFWA and his "Do You wanna get funky?", DJ Siens and his "Funkacize", and to finish DJ Nordin and his "Gangsta Funk".

The music played during this moment is Stuck In The Middle With You, Stealers Wheel being a band of Gerry Rafferty, a guy which I love ;) Anyhow, now, everytime I listen to this track, I can't help but being surrounded by a feeling telling me : "Hey dude, that is one hell of a violent track!" :) To put it in a nutshell, if you never saw that wonderful movie Reservoir Dogs by Quentin Tarantino, rush! It Was A Good Day : Wonderful melody, great beats. We really feel a nostalgy.

Runnin' : Great voices, that's rare in hip hop. Great flow, great verses, a must-have!

Dans le club : Well.. One of my fav ;) (That is to say : one of the few that I can clearly understand). Apart from that, I just love this song, Tekilatex has such a crazy voice! If you don't know this song and if you don't know TTC, from the Ninja Tune label, rush!!

The Message : I could listen to this song again and again.. One of the pioneers and hip hop but still one of the killers!!

C.R.E.A.M. : One of the few song that i like from Wu-Tang Clan, but what an amazing title! A good overview of what Wu-Tang is though.

Plutôt mourir : I only chose one song from Svinkels but I could have chosen 3 or 4 (Le svink c'est chic for instance). My choice.

Touch the Sky (feat. Lupe Fiasco) : An amazing song and an amazing PV. Wonderful melo, just give it an ear! Kanye West is somewhat a genius..

Gold Digger : As soon as you listen to it, it rushes in your brain and stays glued! Jamie Foxx imitates Ray Charles perfectly!
