Highlights of the evening in Oosterpoort were Pete Philly, probably the only Dutch hip-hop that I can enjoy, Moke, a good Dutch rock act, and most definitely c-mon and kypski, for which I have no words - you should just go check out the Shitty Bum music video and attend wherever they play.

What's there to review? The venue, Oosterpoort, isn't particularly remarkable, although the amount of media teams with cameras and interviewers running around was interesting. Drinks were conventionally expensive (with a Jack Daniels at just 5 euro) and food was interesting; no typical snacks like fries, but focaccia bread, or Tuscan stew meat with belgian fries. It was very cool that the main stage, where these three acts performed, allows you to choose between standing on the base floor or sitting in a seat, up a bit higher, which takes the leg-strain out of attending your favorite acts.

Although food, personal space, and in the cellar stage air was scarce and expensive, these acts certainly made up for it. I attended the last acts of Dommelsch: Locals Only in Simplon, Groningen, and Cool Jimmy was a fantastic act to see. It felt like a private concert, with the small audience, but the performance was astonishing and breathtaking. I'll get an album from these guys when I get the chance. It was a blast.]]>
