Partly because my charts are a bit off since I went through and re-tagged every single MP3 I own. There are songs up in the top that, while I still listen to them a lot, aren't technically being counted since the title changed.

Partly because I'm in a clearing house mood, and starting over is a good thing in order to make sure I'm actually getting good neighbors and such. Especially since I'm not at my home computer much right now due to surgery, so I have plenty of time for everything to clear out.

On Tuesday's, however, I have to be here by 7:30am. Luckily today my music worked with me. ;-)

Pulling out of the garage at home I heard the second half of I Don't Need a Promise, which is nice and upbeat.

Then, as I'm turning onto the interstate, Good Luck (feat. Lisa Kekaula) starts up and I'm cranking the volume to sing along. The Appleseed OST is full of incredible music, definitely a must-hear.

After that it's J-E-N-O-V-A (Final Fantasy VII), which is a really neat song to listen to in my car, because my engine hum is in harmony with the piece, and the car just... I dunno, throbs, pulsates, something very good...

While I'm waiting for my breakfast order, Freak On A Leash starts up, and I have to turn it down so I don't scare/insult the drive through lady. ;-)

- I found http://www.ocremix.org and downloaded a metric ton of stuff. Kept probably half of it. Some of it is beautiful, some of it is quite out there... but there's a lot of talent to be heard.

- From http://gh.ffshrine.org/ I got some Yoko Kanno from Vision of Escaflowne, and unfortunately was not much impressed with the music. I expect amazing things out of Yoko Kanno, especially considering her work on cowboy bebop and ghost in the shell, and when she sounds more ordinary, I'm disappointed. I had the some of the same issues last week while listening to some of her stuff from Macross PLUS, although some of that was the absolutely crappy quality of the recording.

- Also from http://gh.ffshrine.org/ I got some Wada Kaoru, from the later version of record of the lodoss war. There was some nice stuff in here, but not much.

- Followed a neighbor recommendation and tried out some DIR EN GREY and was completely not impressed. *shrug* It's the same thing with GACKT... he's very pretty to look at, but he doesn't do anything for me musically. I much prefer T.M.Revolution.

- And then, to prove I'm not completely turning Japanese, I downloaded some old school Public Enemy. They had their heyday during my Metallica phase, so I didn't pay them much attention then. I regret it. :-p There are some incredibly powerful lyrics in their raps, a lot of which is still relevant today.

For next week, I'll go back to the game music... But I've also been deleting, which is somehow refreshing... if I don't like it, really, why keep it?

More taggage coming... I'd like to get my whole collection done someday.
