Noniiiiiiiiin eli vihdoin eilen pääsi Slayeria katselemaan. Tultiin Hakametsään joskus kuuden maissa, ja aika tyhjää oli kun Embreach aloitti. Embreachista ei jääny hirveesti mitään mieleen. Semmosta perusmättöä, kamalilla hempeillä kertosäkeillä. Laulajasta en pitänyt yhtään. Seuraavaksi lavalle saapui Amon Amarth, johon en ennen ollut tarkemmin tutustunut. Kovaksi bändiksi osoittautui, ja hyvin sai yleisön puolelleen suomenkielen taidoilla. Illalta toiseksi eniten odotin seuraavaa esiintyjää, Mastodonia. Mastodonin toinen kitaristi puuttui ( ilmeisesti kipeänä ? ), mutta se ei menoa haitannut. Aivan uskomattoman vedon vetivät, mutta yleisö oli kyllä aivan jäässä. Tuntui välillä että yksin sai siellä nyrkkiä ilmassa heiluttaa :D Ja joo ehkä Mastodonin musiikki ei ole perus suomalaisen massahevarin mieleen, mutta ei voi mitään, yrittäkää edes. Trivium soitti seuraavaksi, menin istuskelemaan penkeille sillä aikaa. En kyllä ymmärrä mitä joku näkee tässä bändissä, taitavia soittajia olivat tosin. Eniten ärsytti kun laulaja huusi joka helvetin spiikissä '' LET*S FUCKING BLOW THIS MOTHERFUCKING FUCK THE FUCK AWAYY !!11!! FUCKSHITFUCKFUCKUFKCUFKCUFFUCK. '' Ei vakuuttanu, ihmeen paljon jakso ihmiset silti innostua. Pääesiintyjä Slayer veti loistavan setin, en olisi parempaa keksinyt. Löytyi uudempien levyjen helmiä ja koko Reign in Blood, ainoastaan jotain ( muutakin kun intro ) Show No Mercylta olisin kaivannut. Mutta perkeleen tiukasti vetivät äijät. Kaikilta puolin oli todella hieno ilta, pittiä löytyi joka bändin kohdalla, toisilla isompaa toisilla pienempää. I play guitar, and have played violin. I can also play something on bass, drums & mandolin. I'm not a good singer, but I LOVE to growl :D

Yeah, I had to take 4 years of theory lessons when I played violin, but back then I didn't give a flying fuck of them. Now I'm trying to remember these things again, when they would come handy playing guitar.

Saavuin kahden aikaan jonottamaan kentälle, ja tunnelma oli korkealla kun päästiin etukentälle. Ensimmäinen Maiden-keikka edessä.

Ensimmäisenä lämppärinä toimi tiukkaa tiukemmissa nahkahousuissa pomppinut Steve Harrisin tytär, Lauren Harris. Musiikki oli semmoista perusrockia, ei hirveästi iskenyt. Mutta se pitää sanoa että kitaristi oli kova ja Laurenia olisi voinut katsella mielellään vaikka enemmän. Kuuntelusta en tiedä.

Kakkoslämppärinä oli Avenged Sevenfold, jota en ollut aikaisemmin kuullut, joten en tiennyt mitä odottaa. Kaikki biisit olivat samanlaisia, alkoivat jollain riffillä, sitten tuli '' mosh '' kohta, ja sitten poppikertosäe jne. Vieressäni sattui olemaan bändin luultavasti ainoat fanit, jotka yrittivät jotain pittiä kehitellä, kunnes luovuttivat ku huomasivat että porukalla menee hermo. Eikä ihme. Samat heput lähtivät sitten koko keikalta ennen Maidenia. No jokainen tykkää jostain, minusta bändi oli aivan perseestä.

Mutta sitten oli pääesiintyjän vuoro. Olin katsellut täältä aiempien keikkojen settilistoja, ja settihän oli sama kuin kaikilla aiemmillakin keikoilla, luultavasti siksi että se oli aivan loistava. En ole koskaan Maidenin suurimpiin faneihin kuulunut, mutta kyllä osasivat äijät kunnon shown vetää. Soittotaidot eivät ole mihinkään vuosien aikana kadonneet, ja Brucekin kuulosti todella hyvältä. Pyrotekniikkaa ja valoja riitti, pari Eddietäkin nähtiin, sekä Saatanakin kaiken lisäksi. Mikäs sen hienompaa. Tunnelma oli koko keikan ajan katossa, heti Aces Highin alku-riffistä, Hallowed Be Thy Namen loppusointuihin. Keikka kesti vähän alle 2 tuntia, mutta eipä olisivat raajat saati ääni enempää kestänytkään.
