Compared to 2007, I think this year was weaker in singles' love, which led many songs to chart long in the last few months. The first couple of months were strong, but the songs weakened and got the chance to chart endlessly, while pretty much dead in love. Albums that were brought out were not tripping the light fantastic either, despite that, I did manage to make a top 10 of the most loved ones, ones I really did love!

Any blind cow could see it coming that a 24 weeks charting song (of which 12 on top) would be my #1 song of the year! The 2nd got this high due to long effective love, but in love, "Up" strikes the lowest button. Most un-expecting songs that made this charts are "Up" and "Sneakernight" in my opinion, I wasn't aware both songs were doing só well on the chart. Frankly, both should be in pink (the songs that least-deserve to be in the top).
Below you can find the top 100 songs that were most played in my iTunes this year (click the pic to enlarge). Songs from the first three quarters of the year are in advantage, as my iPod broke down in September, which doesn't synch the plays after that.

From origin, Hook Me Up was released in Nov '07, though I discovered the album in 2008, besides, the US release was in 2008, therefore it has the ability to chart here. The album rocked my iTunes & iPod in the first halfyear, ending up with 4 songs in the 2008 Most Listened Tracks Top 100. This chart was made based on feelings. Most underrated album of all is Raven-Symoné in my opinion. It is way better than 90% of the albums that came out this year, but due to her status as a Disney-artist, the album isn't even brought under the attention of critics. Just bubbling under are the Pussycat Dolls with Doll Domination.

Last week, "Run" got an enormous boost due to personal experience, which got it to top 3, and it still lives on! Thsi week, the Tour Version of "Womanizer" was at high airplay, getting Womanizer to be the last female #1 of the year! I think, if I would proceed the charts, that "Circus" would chart out before "Womanizer" will. The video for "Diva" is só muy caliente-hot, I just llllluv the whoel damn thing! Boost up bitch! The love for Leona's "Run" got me listening to "Forgive Me" too, and with success this week.I was hoping "Poker Face" would have remained in the top 5 until the last chart, but unfortunately... A song that could have very well charted next week was Adele's "Make You Feel My Love". A song typically not for me, but has its charm... If I could place it somewhere, I think it would end up at #7 by next week.

No leaver this week. One special case though... This #1 should belong to the female section, but as Justin is the first credited, it reaches #1 here. If it were the other way around, it would've tops reached #8 this week. Just so you can see the difference in love between female + male! On vacation, we put the two "Ayo"'s aside eachother, and we agreed that 50's version was hotter, but this acoustic Milow version is chiller! Still high, what it could have been, we will never know I guess. The rest of the chart is pretty boring, but how could it be else, If I didn't/couldn't find any hot male songs the past 3 weeks... It turns out "Touch My Hand" wasn't a single after all, after being sent to Radio Disney though, it was cancelled (too bad). I need to get way more into "Over". Next single Jesse, please! 'Departure' wasn't much of a hit on the charts, songs like "Rock You" could change that!

Not much specials here either, top 4 remains the same. But that doesn't mean love lowering! I am amazed by how I still manage to list "Up" in this chart, It's such a long laster to me <3. The album version is my slutty pumpup anthem of the month! The intro does it all! Good work girls! This while Girls Aloud still can't enter "Loving Kind" in, though standing at #11 this week ("Issues" butted them out). The Offspring got the weekdominator, totally and welldeserved! I just didn't knwo it was their second single! I should check out the album! I hope that GC's & Paramore's new album comes soon now too!

As much as I would like 'Circus' to stay #1, I fear that 'Sasha' took over Britney-circus this week, despite the "Womanizer"-craze! Beyonce enjoyed the much-loved-"Diva"-video utmost! It got u to the last #1 album of the year babe! Plus, PCD and Jesse, both probably entering the Best 10 albums of the year, alsy re-enter this week. How long they have charted is irrelevant, therefore the "??"marks.

The music video, in combination with overexxagerated heavy amount of airplay got "Circus" to #1. "Womanizer" still remains high, while "Poker Face" doesn't seem to see the light of death! "Diva" couldda have more airplay, but did fairly well considerign competition, so has "Halo". I's say this top 7 is superstrong! I think Hilary and/or Miley will be the next to break the inner circle! I still need the mp3 of Nathalie Makoma's song, therefor it hasn't charted yet!

Look at the amount of duets in this chart! It's like they can't make it on their own these days! Seriously, 3 songs by the original artist on his own! Chris held on tight to grab his 1st #1 after all, and now he has it, it won't last much longer! We have two big threats coming up from inside the chart, being David and Justin/Esmée collabo. She sounds just like someone else in this song, can't place the name! Enrique finally enters too after many weeks nothing, and I do think he has potential of going top 5!

A change has come! Watching Twilight (the movie) boosted Paramore bigtime, it became the most listened song of the week! Franz' "Ulysses" has this amazinglyhottalicious instrumental flip/turn in it, I luvvit so much! Love much! Nothing special here anymore. Started to like "Issues" and "Loving Kind", but not yet all the way.

Of course, my whole week has been revolving around 'Circus' again. The CD is on constant airplay, at least once a day, on my stereo! The Tour/Live version of "Womanizer" got it back at #1, and the airplay got "Circus" in Top 3. #1 is pretty much in the picture for next week! I'm so glad, there is no chartfilling in this section, everysong is still highly loved! Beyonce already made her way in, next up is "Halo"! It, along with Hillie's "Holiday" will sure be 2 hits on my chart! I forsee both GaGa tracks being in my chart by the end of 2008.

This part was totally abandoned again. See how rediculously low-loved this chart is? A song that charted 3 months ago is #1 because of the hotness of the album version! This is not right! Therefore, I got myself 5 new band singles, of which Franz Ferdinand, The Verve, Good Charlotte and The Offspring. I hope these respectable groups/bands can make a serious difference in the future of this chart! At this point, I'd rate the #1 with a 7.0 and the #10 with a 5.8. Both too low and every song in between is too close to eachother for a real chart.

Of course, my whole week has been revolving around 'Circus'. I bought the CD yesterday. Playing the HQ on my stereo, the video preview, and lots of plays in the bathroom boosted "Circus" to where its not at. And no, it's not a great position to debut after such 'promo'. I didn't like it too much at first, so I had to get used to it a lot. Besides, it suffered deep love-boost for Nikki's "Bring Me Down", the two confirmed GaGa-singles and her own "womanizing" performance, which wasn't totally best, but you can see she's better than before. In spite of that, the ballads later in the chart rose, but dropped in positions. Hot chart this week!

"Predator" was originally gonna be golden track this week, as total dominator! But then I downloaded the full Nikki song, who made her way to #1 allround in week 48. The combination of the song, the upbeatness, the danceability, the video and that cover just couldn't do anything else but debut at #1. He did keep Chris & Keri from their possible only #1 on my chart so far. I can't believe myself, I still haven't seen neither Jesse's nor James' video, which is probably the reason neither is featured in the chart this week! David B. enters nicely at #4, with a supersweet nice song, followed by a humble re-entry of Corbin.

That explains the weird rise of "Up", and Paramore's failed attempt to drop out and partly the re-entry of "I Hate This Part". I'm gonna focus on some hot new band-material, as I don't love the new Killers single either, 3DDD is okay, others are boring....

Overall, I'd give the album a 8/10 rating.

This is the first time since -when?- that the top 3 hasn't changed! The rest of the chart isn't really interesting either, aside from the M.I.A. dropout. It is currently still unclear which song will be her next single, as "Way Down in the Hole" doesn't seem to have an official confirmation, just as "Shells". Aussie Natalie kept the #1, but by next week, Britney probably will take over, with either "Circus" or "Womanizer" (still haven't listened "Circus" - reasoning comes later on). This week the males dominated. Urbanizers were Chris and Kevin, of which the last was not even on my phone all week. Having a song on my phone has the same function to me as Radio 538 bombing a song to 'Alarmschijf', it has the ability of making a song. My phone made Chris! Corbin dropped due no airplay (at all), but probably will re-enter. Dean & bitch probably won't make it, the song is weak. Jon has single-headed confirmed that there is no 2nd single yet on his official website (I asked him - maybe if I ask him for sex he'll be unfaithful to his wife too ^^ - and someday write a song about it lol). I didn't watch Jesse nor James' video (was about to, but forgot twice). This section is kind of centered nowadays! Big threat coming from Petros next week!

This was the section that got most attention this week. I listened to all albums i got last week, and didn't download 'Circus' until today (retail). I at first didn't even want to download it, and just download the song "Circus", and wait until the album got released and buy it. But I changed my mind. Sasha was okay, Archuleta was pretty OK, but Demi rocked him by, placing 'David Archuleta' on #6. Cook most definetely dominated of the new ones, but couldn't match Anna nor Anas.

Songs leave this chart really fast, especially the ballads. I still love Beyoncé's "Boy" and Christina's "World". This week, newcomer Natalie blew me away with her Rihanna-ish voice! Loved that song & its video! But it kept GaGa from her #1, because after this week I don't think it will be rising anymore! The video effect is ending, so is "Womanizer"'s. Good that "Circus" (2nd single) has leaked! But I won't be downloading the album just yet. The single version of "Reach Out" received a lot of attention by me, which is why it rose! Outside the chart I can feel Kate charting last time. P.s. the 2 covers because I just wanted point out the "Poker" cover! Qué magnifique?!

The male rocker this week was the "Mojito Song", of which I discovered last week that the single version is way more interesting than the instrumental that I thought that was released. Still, this song won't last 4 weeks in this section I think! I would arrange this song so differently if I could! But... the next #1 has already been decided, it is either one of the two latter bubblers. Funny how this is the third Chris song that peaks at #6. I do think this one will break the spell by going top 5! More hilarious was the comment on a FMSM thread by a poster who noticed Danny's single cover for "Radio" and legendarily asked "Who? is this fag?". It was such a LMAO-moment for me!

Bandland was not much featured this week, due to the female domination! Either way, McFly managed to score their fourth #1 from their latest album 'Radio:ACTIVE'. You'd think that I would be overexcited for the album, well it peaked in the top 3 (no #1) and stayed less than four weeks. Weird huh? All four singles, all #1. The album version of "Up" lift some attention to the Saturdays for me, but won't last long... It also seems that the Ting Tings are working on a new album already! I'm hoping for "That's Not My Name" #2, but I fear this is a goal set skyhigh. I want at least another single from 'We Started Nothing', say "Keep Your Head"? Explaining Kings of Leon bubbling: I've know the song for about 1½ month, but I'm only now starting to feel it. Late love?

I've been pretty busy (well, that's an understatement) with school thiis week, paid almost no attention to music, so i don't have many entries. As I predicted! Brit & Duff switch! I love the ROYP video, so simple but working! Just like "Single Ladies"! In contrary to "Better", which was worse than well, pretty much every video she did before! Still hun up on "Poker" video! More video opinion: Hilary's 'sexay' didn't really work for me, but the 'sexayness' of the dude is mmmm-ing! Also, Anastacia's lifting on the heavy love rotation of the album! Last, the Nâ/KeRo video premiered, without me watching, so its effect will be the definetive last strike - or not!

Remember the three tracks I was telling you about? "Superhuman" by Chris Brown is one of them. Anyways, Craig dominated the cocks (I'm not sure if he's that big though). Darin's video was so predictable, once you saw the beginning, you just knew that it would be Kat he slept with (ewww) and that it's her he's chasing. So pretty much bummer.. Several songs dropped in love, or still remained the same, but rose anyway in chart position... It's time again for a lot of male hotness (only top 5 is loved). Can't believe James remains so strong after all those weeks! Again the #1 was stolen from him!

You will probably fall off your chair, call all your friends and need therapy of amazement because of the top two existing of HSM3 ppl. Or not! "Night" was to be #1, until I found out how much I loved "I Want It All". It's is very similar to "Fabulous" from the 2nd HSM soundtrack, which Ioved ferryferrymuch! A real surprise is the return of Girls Aloud though, upon album add, the album version replaced the single one, and the little things just made me wanna listen2it again! McFly chose "Do Ya" as the third single from 'Radio:ACTIVE', a lyric from the song is "do ya need time?" and you probably know my answer. The fact they're bubbly says enough! Hinder fell out due to minimal (well ok zero) airplay... But has strong chance of re-charting!

There's no album I still need to listen to anymore. I downloaded all that I think were worthy of downloading. Anastacia just ruled this week with 'Heavy Rotation' and "Heavy Rotation". I doubt the High School Musical 3 soundtrack can take it off that lovely seat she's enjoying. Other albums just are filling. 'Catfights' is just OK, as is 'Out of Control'. Plus I'm not loving its cover.

This week, I was heavily rotating this album! So I decided to break the silence around the small albums reviews, and just do it! I'm discussing the top 3 songs, and line the rest in a top 12.
01 • "Heavy Rotation" This song needs no explanation. The danceability of it is plainlymazinly! Reminds me of the "I'm Outta Love" days.
02 • "Defeated" This song is like OMG, sóóó good! It's like the "Left Outside Alone" of 'Heavy Rotation'. Such a female-stand-strong-song!
03 • "I Call It Love" Another amazement that reminds me of another song!
