They were one of the first bands I hated. They were overplayed in my room by a roommate, and I grew to hate the high-pitched singing. I also hate the idea of having your vocals adjusted so they never hit puberty. It’s kind of disturbing to me…

Queen

I know they’re loved by so many, but like The Darkness, my room-mate overplayed them. They were also really poppy for me. At this time I was into Disturbed and Linkin Park, and moved on from Bon Jovi etc. and I couldn’t stand them!

Green Day

I used to really like this band a few years ago, but I think a mixture of peer pressure and me playing it too much caused me to get sick of it. The whiny vocals didn’t help much either…

Rap & Hip-hop

Hip hop is an interesting one to define. It depends greatly on the song or artist. There are some songs that I grew up with, so I like them due to the memories (take Moment of Truth by Gangstarr as an example). Others I listen to due to the lyrics, like Atmosphere (thanks for reminding me of that).
When I say "hip hop" in terms of dislike, I mean the bling type, you know the ones I mean. Fifty Cent, Soulja Boy...someone needs to give them grammar lessons and "take 'em back to school".

R&B/Bubblegum Pop

I hate these two genres. Even in earlier life, I listened to Bon Jovi and Good Charlotte (who I dislike now), who are slightly better in my opinion than, say, Britney Spears and Hilary Duff. R&B is the same for me. I can appreciate the message some of the songs send of love and all that, I just find it so repetitive.

2. Metallica - "brutal death metal", "electronic", "emo", "comedy", "classical", "britpop" etc.

3. Atreyu - "ambient", "cradle of filth", "assholes who ripoff inflames", "comedy" etc.

4, Slipknot - "gay", "bubble gum pop", "cum guzzlers", "electronic" etc.

I don't need to continue with examples, because I'm sure you've seen them yourself. But the question is: why the hell BOTHER?!?!

I myself have seen many more examples of this childish behavior. I'd like to call a petition for the moderation of tags. Or if there is something similar elsewhere, can someone direct me to it.
