Now the show, it was a wonderful day, well organised with the only problems within managements hands were that there wasn't enough shade and water became a delicacy and hard to find. Cannot blame reception and the sun on oganisers.

Heroes For Hire - played a very fun sort set, i only knew one song of their which they played and i thoroughly enjoyed. the highlight was easily them playing a cover of Teenage Dirtbag. 7/10

It Dies Today - only saw about a song and a half while walking past and stopping briefly, have only listened to them on cd a few times and wasn't a huge fan but their live show was full of energy and seemed pretty intense. 6/10

Sunny Day Real Estate - Only stayed for 2 songs, was looking forward to seeing them but when they started playing i found them to be too mellow, i still liked what i heard just wasn't in the right mood for it. 6/10

RX Bandits - Sat and watched these guys from the bar cage while scrambling for the shade, i didn't find the music that wonderful, but technically the band were very good, they all seemed to really be able to play their instruments and impressed the hell out of me. 7/10

Set Your Goals - Second time seeing set your goals, and one of the bands i was looking forward to the most. They played a good set of new/old songs and were also full of energy bouncing around the stage like energiser bunnies. well worth seeing. 8/10

Motion City Soundtrack - I've only ever really listened to about 5 or 6 motion city songs more than twice, but they are such a fun band to see play, even without knowing the songs or anything and if they were to tour soon i would strongly consider going to the show :) great performers. 9/10

Paramore - There was a bit of a wait with paramore which kind of sucked being stuck in a squishy crowd with the hot sun hitting me right on my left cheeck which is subsequently burnt rather bad. but once they came on it was an incredible show. they played a wonderful set and everyone seemed to enjoy it except the 15 year old little girls who couldn't see and were getting really agro about it. Also... Hayley Williams is so much hotter than she already is when you see her in the flesh. 10/10

Anthrax - Only saw 2 or 3 songs from anthrax, but they were very enjoyable and no where near as heavy as i was expecting. they're obviousy very experienced and extremely good at putting on excellent shows. 7/10

All Time Low - One of the bands i was really hanging out to see. got a pretty good position to find for the entire set the crowd was moving side to side with people falling down everywhere. all the little teeny sceney girls trying to get alex to notice them were going menta and making it more of a fight to stay stading than a show. Other than this ATL put on an excellent show with a great set. 9/10

Trivium - While i was wondering around in between bands i went to the merch tent to get a whitechapel shirt for my brothers mate, while there i could hear the metal stage going, and i enjoyed the song which was the only trivium song i knew (Anthem (We Are The Fire)), and decided to sit down and watch the rest of the set from the hill. Instruments all sounded very tight and the crowd was incredible to watch from afar. 8/10

Escape The Fate - Was originally feeling really dirty and tired and yuck before ETF came on so i was going to sit at the back and just watch but then i noticed after the previous band finished half of the crowd vanished, so i figured what the hell why not and got abuot 5 or 6 rows from the barrier to watch. ETF were incredible, they had energy and a kind of 'let yourself go wild' feeling was thrown at you, played a good set which could possibly have included some of their older songs although it was understandable with the vocalist swap. 9/10

A Day To Remember - probably the main band that drew me to soundwave this year, had an awesome intro featuring the 2001: A space oddysey music (i think) with jeremy running on stage with an aussie flag and straight into the downfall of us all. ADTR were so powerful and commanding, their shows have improved so much (understandably) since the shows i've seen on dvd. breath taking performance (both in terms of how wonderful it was and how squishy + hot/humid it was :P). 10/10

HIM - Only caught the last half an hour of HIM as i was off at ADTR, and being the last band of the day i just sat and chilled while listening to them play some fairly good songs. They were a lot more mellow than most of the bands but at the same time they had such a wow factor where your sitting there going shit im sitting here watching HIM play wow... hard to explain but yes :) 8/10

Rocked up at the Corner Hotel about 7:30 for the 8:30 doors open. Doors probably opened about 8 or 8:15 which is always good, so we all piled in, and Built On Secrets, the first band up started to play. I hadn't actually heard their music before but they were rather good and would happily see them again. Downside was that it was impssible to make out anything the singer said, even in between songs with no music going when he was just talking
Next on was Stealing O'neal on the main stage who i had heard a bit about but also never listened to on record, however i had seen them earlier this year at Soundwave, and again they were great. Only problem i had was the singer, well more his mic but ever time he made a specific sound it came out horribly through the speakers and being close to the speakers i almst lost my left ear drum, thankfully they fixed this up for the next two bands.
Set Your Goals came on to a rather good crowd reception. I had only started to listen to these guys about a week prior to the event so i knew already i probably wouldn't recognise the songs and was glad to say they come out pretty good live to. Only complaint with these guys was their dickhead fans crowdsurfing and standing up to jump off peoples heads, and continually kicking. I ended up with a sore neck from someone jumping off me, a kick in the forehead and a kick in the jaw from some idiot.
Finally All Time Low came on and the crowd went nuts. the show was full of humerous comments from Alex and Jack and was lots of fun. In my opinion they would have struggled to play a better 12 song set list, it was near on perfect

Overall the show was great, apparently on member of the crowd had exquisite man-boobs and alex was going to do some naughty things to them after the show. Also, congrats to the girl who went topless very nice work.
