Gainesville arrives as the 63rd release on Ireland's Dublin Xpress Recordings, part of the 17 year old Nice & Nasty imprint that artists including Orlando Voorn, Mark O'Sullivan, Chymera, and Octogen call home.

The album features just under an hour of original material that ranges from the deepest house to the most club-friendly techno. This material is supplemented by remixes from German acts f.l.o. & Nachklangmusik, minimal master Nacim Ladj, and DXR boss Captain Random.

The album is now available from the usual stores.

So it's been one year since Mark.Nine, Five Step Path, and myself launched our Unnamed Label project. We marked this time by releasing my new remix selection under the usual Phasen guise. Selected Remixes: 2008-2009 came out on New Year's Day, 2010. It is released digitally from our webshop and also Amazon and iTunes. You can name your own price for the full album at the UL store, or you can buy individual songs for a dollar at iTunes and Amazon.

Artwork is beautifully done by Joseph Bastardo. Cheers for that- check out his work

We have taken our time to ensure that everything is just dandy for our second full release, and it is. Today we released the name-your-own-price digital format of Purse Candy's brilliant debut album! Pre-orders for the CD edition are also available, and will be shipped beginning Friday, November 13....which brings me to-

"A pretty impressive debut from Purse Candy (real name Matthew Ellis), One Day I'll Look Back pairs six original electro-pop originals and five remixes into a forty-seven minute EP that bodes well for the young Portland, Oregon-based producer's future....

The typical Purse Candy track weds surging electro-house grooves, pulsating synthesizer patterns, and heartfelt, sometimes treated vocal melodies into the kind of blissed-out raver one might expect to hear coming out of the Moodgadget or Ghostly camps; Purse Candy's romantic subject matter and electro emphasis suggest that One Day I'll Look Back also would appeal to fans of M83's Saturdays = Youth.

Breathing heavy electro-house fire, “Your Heart Is Sold” opens the release powerfully with a wailing vocal melody, which is only half-audible when presented amidst the synthesizer blaze, and chopped vocal treatments. Though it's again sliced liberally, Ellis's natural voice is heard more clearly amidst the poppy splendor and surge of “One Day I'll Be Back.” On the funkier tip, “We Don't Have The Heart” allows shadings of electric guitar and electric piano to move to the forefront while a whistling melody heightens the song's melancholy ambiance...."
