The idea is to go to the page of your number one artist, and follow the link of it's number one similar artist, then repeating that for this artist and so on, noting down each artist as you go. Do this until you've got to 50 artists. If you get any repeats, just go to the second similar artist or the nearest one that you haven't already had.

This past week's artists...

1. Jack's Mannequin was number one this week. Not suprisingly. I kinda just discovered them, and I'm in a little bit of a kick for them. Dark Blue, and MFEO - Pt. 1: Made for Each Other, Pt. 2: You Can Breathe stood out the most. I never knew I could love such a long song. 7 minutes. Usually my attention span would of given out.

2. M.I.A. - This is all Emma's fault. Let me tell you a little story about how I discovered M.I.A. First I heard Galang when it was on this car commercial. Everytime the commercial came on, everything stopped just to dance to it. Then I found out the title and artist from this free mtv cd I acquired at the My Chemical Romance concert. Skip a month or two, and Emma is singing "what can I get for 10 dollar, everything you wanttt" So of course I have to go get the album now. And lookit that, I'm addicted. 10 Dollar, and Hombre were the most catchy to me.

3. Oasis - What can I say, snagged this from someone a while ago and never listened to it. I mean, I love Wonderwall, but otherwise I didn't know much about Oasis. The main track I listened to was Morning Glory. Another long song, at around 5 minutes. Hmm, guess I'm just a long song person this week.

4. Placebo I am positive this is because of leaking of their new album MEDS, it's dying down in my rotation, but slowly. I recommend it of course, Placebo is awesome.

Two artists I discovered last week that will probably be top this week are Annie and The Get Up Kids. In Annie's case, I always liked her single Chewing Gum, and recently found her album. So that's fun euro-pop. The Get Up Kids were a suggestion from a friend.

I just downloaded a discography of The Offspring too, and I'm really enjoying Americana.

Bands I'd like to see in 2006.

Last year, in 2005, I went to my first real concerts. I even saw my top three favorite bands. (well sort of) (Note, these bands are not in this order on my audioscrobbler most played list or anything.)

Stone Temple Pilots - This is my favorite band of ALL time. For a few years now at least. Now, I technically, didn't see them in concert, and most likely never will. They've broken up. However, I am in love with Scott Weiland, and would listen to any group he decided to be in. Therefore, I went out and saw Velvet Revolver. The show was short, but seeing Scott Weiland[/artist on stage was so amazing. It's something I've dreamed about since I was in like, 6th grade. So seeing them was an awesome experience.

Tied for 2nd place in my top 3 artists are
My Chemical Romance and Alkaline Trio

So it's very fitting that I ended up going to a show that had Alkaline Trio opening for My Chemical Romance. (although in my head, it probably should of been reversed. Alk <3's been around a lot longer than MCR.)

Reggie And The Full Effect Also opened up for mcr, and that's where I found my love for them.

Anyway, the concert was long, my hair got very messy and I cried during
She Took Him to the Lake because of how many times I had listened to that song and what it meant to me.

I LOVED the fact the MCR actually played a lot of their songs from I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, and they played Astro Zombies (a misfits cover) and Disenchanment, their new song.

Gee was so hilarious in concert though. XDD He really is a big dork.

Those were the best two concerts of the year. (I didn't go to that many in the first place, though. Even if I did, they still would of been the best.)

okay, now that we've recapped 2005, let me list some goals of people I'd love to see in concert. And hopefully in 2006 my goals will be achieved.

I'd love to see Mindless Self Indulgence. I know I just recently discovered them, but they are so awesome. Their lyrics make me laugh sometimes, and I've listened to Faggot probably more times than healthy. Plus, I've been watching some concert videos, and their concerts seem like they would be really fun. Bruising. But fun.

Second on this list is Placebo. I lovelovelove Placebo. I've collected ALL of their music. Even the rare tracks. Sadly, I don't even know if they tour or not anymore. I love their music, but am not very up to date with the "fandom"/current news.

Other less important artists that still might be cool to see= The Used, 311, Spoon, Fall Out Boy Freezepop and I have a slight inkling to go see Louis XIV again.
