Tue 28 Apr – Kreator, Exodus, Belphegor, Warbringer, Epicurean

This concert was great. Warbringer was a great opening act, but it was too bad that their drummer broke his arm so that they only had a few songs in their program. I would have liked to have heard more from them.

Belphegor was an intense segue into the next part of the program. They were fairly over the top, and the lead singer put on a mask at the end of their performance to make it even more so. Overall good sound from them, and I felt that they did a good job.

Exodus was when the concert really began. They were very energetic and the crowd really got involved with lots of stage diving, crowd surfing and moshing. All the songs they played were great, was a lot of fun to watch the lead singer strum the guitar while the lead guitarist downed a beer. They set a very high bar for Kreator, who would finish the performance.

I wasn't sure if Kreator would be able to top the performance that Exodus put out before them, but they were by far the best of the show. They really got the crowd involved in the show, played a few songs from their newest album, and then also played a lot of songs from their older ones. The vocalist had very interesting ways of introducing each song, and they ended the show with Flag of Hate and Tormentor. Overall, it was a great show and I was glad to be there.
