I Doggs sono gli ennesimi cani del rock and roll. Ma hanno zanne affilate e sangue che pulsa all'impazzata. Il loro primo album scava nella carne degli Stooges. Midnight Eyes è una 1970 rivisitata,eviscerata. Drugstore martella senza requie, tra ballad blues corrotte, come Burning Inside. E estasi elettriche in puro abbandono come Wax Doll. Insomma, c'è tutto il maledetto repertorio. Quello dei Doggs è un mondo in lento disfacimento. La drammaticità e la solitudine della strada. L'amore tossico. Le luci della città, quelle luci così fredde. E la violenza, che arriva distorta in impetuosi fiumi di elettricità fuzz. Una forza, una convinzione e un controllo strepitosi. Milano anni settanta come Detroit anni settanta. Il rock and roll a nudo.
