...voilà Freak Kitchen.

I've stumbled over this band about half a year ago. Their music already catched me during the first songs, which only few artists have managed to do to me.

Freak Kitchen plays very skillful rock music, influenced by a lot of styles (samba, jazz, heavy metal,...), this makes the music such a damn fun to listen to. They really set their heart on music.

And then, the lyrics. At first they sound funny, then you notice irony, finally you see that Freak Kitchen vent their anger about actually serious social situations. Well, not in every song ;)

If you like rock and experiments, if you're into Prog and want to try something refreshing, or if you simply like to know how freaky Freak Kitchen really is - go ahead! I bet you won't be disappointed.

To get you some kind of entry point, I'd recommend Freak Kitchen and, for the ones who like it a bit heavier, Dead Soul Men.

"Hoobastank? Didn't they make this radio song The Reason?"

That's what most people in my circle of friends say when you ask them about Hoobastank. And they can't hear this particular song anymore because it's been on the radio so many times... a typical pop song.

What they don't know is that this song doesn't represent the music from the album at all: it's the only soft song on it. All the others are very nice pieces of heavy alternative rock with some killer potential. If you don't like the song "The Reason" itself, this is even more a reason (no pun intended) to try out the album - I bet you will be surprised or, like me, pleased.
