We were planning on releasing the full length version of Behold the Machine today. But Martin and I decided that we should push the official release date back a few weeks so that we can finish the rest of the planned songs and polish the album in general.

So here is a free E.P., with fully mastered tracks. Most of these tracks will have vocal recordings, and we still have at least five more to finish before we are ready to share them.

Please let us know what you think?

Vernian Process - Behold the Machine (Vernivarsary Edition EP)

ENJOY!

I created this compilation for my website www.post-punk.com about two or three years ago. Since that time I have discovered even more bands that would have been right at home on this set, but alas I think I hit the majority of important artists regardless.

Go here: http://www.savefile.com/projects/326237 and download the Post-Punk Legacy 8 disc boxset NOW!!

MAKE SURE that if you are burning these to disc to include absolutely no space between tracks, or you will get a very unpleasent gap between every track. These were made to be played in a continuous mix, so every song flows seamlessly into the next. If you can't tell by the song selections... each disc has a kind of thematic element running through it.

1 = Proto-Punk, Punk, and early Post-Punk (77 or so) These are all bands that while not all exactly Post-Punk were showcasing a more artistic approach to punk music.

2 = More early 77' - 80' or so bands, as well as the latter section of the disc being dedicated mostly to Analog Synth acts.

3 = Funky No Wave, Girl bands, and Noise makers.

4 = Mostly Dreamy, Ethereal, Neo-Psychedelic, Guitar based music.

5 = Dark, Brooding, Gloomy, and otherwise Gothish music.

6 = Quirky, New Wave/Romantic music.

7 = Random Disc... Twangy Rock, Punk, Synthpunk, and Industrial/Experimental music.

8 = the class of 86' - 90'. All of these bands were more third or fourth generation Post-Punk.

Anyways... Enjoy!!!

Josh
