Maybe, there's something wrong with me, but I'm getting addicted to Coil's music more and more these days. It seems to be weird because I've never had any "most favourite band" in my life and can't say I am obsessed on any of the top artists in my last.fm profile, though I love their music. The thing is that the more I listen to Coil the more I like them. I don't know the explanation of this phenomena, perhaps, I'll find it later... Now I want to get as much of their stuff as possible, however their records are not very easy to find (and not easy to buy as well)... But that's just what makes them more special, I guess.

I believe Coil were one of those bands who deserve to be written about in a book (yeah, really, in a book). I remember my first time listening to them (some tracks from LSD album)and it was such a unusual experience for me. I thought: "WTF is this? Can music actually sound like that? It is not like anything I heard before!" And ha, I was absolutely right! My mind was blown. Coil's music is like a David Lynch's movie: it is sad, creepy,scary, but you just can't stop yourself getting involved into. It is the sound from the world where unreal things become real, like in your dream, you see, such a mindtrip. Too bad my English is so poor, I lack of words to describe Coil's music, it is so deep and varied in sound, unlike my English in the choice of vocabulary. Well, I admit, not all their albums were of the equal quality, sometimes they were a bit boring, but even no-so-great Coil's releases now sound quite more imaginative and creative than some of modern rock records.
