I meant to post this before the year ended, but as I made it all the way to number 1 with the descriptions and everything, Firefox decided to crash..shock. So I will try again.

10. Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga

This group still remains one of my favorite recording artists, for they have yet to disappoint me, which I don't see ever happening.

9. !!!(Chk, Chk, Chk) - Myth Takes

Completely blown away by this record, never did I think I would able to say that I enjoy disco punk this much. Also displayed one of the most beautiful percussive experiences during their show, making it very difficult not to dance.

8. The Clientele - God Save The Clientele

Alasdair Maclean's voice will always blow my mind, with his raspy yet refined style, and his bewildering sense of melody, which is all brought together with the beautiful reverb-enriched instrumentation created by the rest of the group.

7. Deerhunter - Cryptograms

Words cannot describe just how beautiful this record is and what effect it has had on my life, both physically and psychologically.

6. The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

Between every spinning of Sounds of Silver in March, I listened to Neon Bible, leaving me in some kind of trance. I couldn't put the record down, the unforgiving organ that pierces through the structure of every melody, and Win Butler screaming "Working for the church while your family dies." I don't think I can ever listen to music the same way ever again.

Please download the file and find out for yourself. Never has any techno had such an adverse effect on me. Never have I been this moved.

4. Jens Lekman - Night Falls Over Kortedala

My heart shatters everytime I listen to Jens Lekman and for some reason I just can't get enough of it. The feelings that surface when I hear Lekman's Merritt-esque voice, are quite overwhelming and hard to ignore.

3. Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

"Cause you can't feel a thing. No heart flutters in the spring. You just drift and pray for sun-kissed golden days."

2. LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver

This is my favorite song of the year 2007.

"We're safe, for the moment. Saved.
For the moment."

I don't have faith in any type of religion or higher power really, however I'd like to think that this last record perfectly outfits the moment of discovery in a higher power, what immerses your body when you finally feel you've found something more. Flawless without a doubt and no real surprise here..

20. Caribou - Andorra
Andorra hit me with more sunshine than any other record has in years. I can't stop nor do I want to stop listening to this album.

19. The Besnard Lakes - Are The Dark Horse
Brian Wilson meets My Morning Jacket meets Spiritualized encompassed by (Lift Your Fists Era) Godspeed You! Black Emperor, in other words - listen to The Besnard Lakes.

18. Okkervil River - The Stage Names
Always respect this groups work, for they continue releasing solid, eloquent records that are capable of choke slamming you at any moment.

17. Battles - Mirrored
Everytime I hear this album, I feel like I've entered an alternate universe. .

16. Deerhoof - Friend Opportunity
Frenetic guitar melodies, optimistic trumpets, and maniacal drumming, leave me rejoicing for Deerhoof more than ever before.

15. Maserati - Inventions For The New Season
Everytime I spin this record, it feels as if the end of the world is around the corner.

14. The National - Boxer
Very moving and humane record, perfectly captures everything that happened in my life this year with only 12 tracks.

13. Justice - †
This record makes me forget everything that happened this year, which is really nice at times. When I hear this album, I forget that I don't know how to d.a.n.c.e.

12. Radiohead - In Rainbows
You are my centre, when I spin away. Words could never describe how this group makes me feel.

11. The Tough Alliance - A New Chance
Primal Scream on a lot of ecstasy entwined with the beautiful poetry of Jens Lekman, it is clear why I enjoyed A New Chance so much.

25. Pinback - Autumn of The Seraphs
Intricately textured music, delicate at times, intensely woven at others, I have always been pleased with Pinback.

24. The Twilight Sad - Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters
Resonant guitars and ambiguous choruses, like the sight of a bomb dropping, left bewildered and speechless, all brought together by Scottish vocalist, James Graham's (Moffet-esque) concrete lyrics.

23. The Ponys - Turn The Lights Out
Noise engineers and revivalists produce album that far surpasses expectations created by prior albums, exhibiting a very energetic guitar and the unforgiving quiver in vocalist, Jered Gummere's voice. Turn The Lights Out creates a whole new experience with each listen.

22. White Rabbits - Fort Nightly
From the moment this album takes off, the vitality and spirit of this record never ceases. With the stark sound of Wolf Parade, and the catchiness of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Fort Nightly shattered my expectations of these groups forever. Blown away in the best way imaginable, this album will never collect dust on my shelf.

More pop oriented than ever before, the noise rockers with a strong attraction to the bang of a drum, continue to pierce their fans with a refined momentum that cannot be matched by any other.
