Deftones were awesome — as usual. They should have had a longer set. 45 minutes is just not enough.
Slipknot were good. Nothing new there. Pyro is missing in concerts these days.

Fri 22 Feb – Xavier Rudd
This was my first time seeing Xavier Rudd and I must say it is one of the best shows I've seen that exudes the talent of the artist on stage. Pure stellar. Kudos to the drummer he has on stage with him. He is amazing to watch keep up with Xavier.

Now if only the fans would stay off the stage and keep the show focused on the talent playing the music instead of themselves.

Wed 28 Mar – Killswitch Engage, DragonForce, Chimaira, He Is Legend

Chimaira were great. Maybe too short a set.

DragonForce very well may be the worst act I will ever see in my lifetime. Why were they on this bill?

Killswitch Engage were okay. I've seen better shows from them. Although I was fighting a cold and Adam D. wasn't there but the audio was unimpressive. Couldn't hear the guitars very much. And Howard's vocals were distorted.

He Is Legend did not appear due to border issues.

Well, I surpassed 50,000 songs. Crazy. And around the same time I had an artist pass 1000 plays. That being Nine Inch Nails. My top song When Darkness Falls is about to pass 30 plays. Not as exciting but I pride myself on the diversity and array of songs I listen to. I wonder how many different songs are on my profile?

Trivium - Nothing spectacular. Just like their music.

Big D and the Kids Table - LAME!

Fear Factory - The lights ruined the show. Totally out of sync.

Avenged Sevenfold - Good god! I came for the opener and wish I hadn't stuck around.

Pearl Jam - A free ticket during the Riot Act tour. I'm standing there watching these people go crazy thinking, "What have they done lately, people?"

System of a Down - Very disappointing. No effort on the part of Serj.

Powerman 5000 - Unmemorable.

Kiss - Hot In The Shade tour. Need I say more.

The Smashing Pumpkins - Awful live band. It was the Lollapalooza 1994 tour and most people had left after the Beastie Boys.

Pixies - Opened for U2. Never did get into them.

10 Years - Again — unmemorable.

Unwritten Law - Another forgettable performance.
