Buckle Up Folks, Fedde's Back!

There is no questioning the copious amount of love Fedde Le Grand holds for the United States. A total of 5 trips throughout 2009 has cemented this fact, and as the year that saw Fedde unleash his debut killer album draws to a close, it’s time for the Dutch dynamo to rock the U.S once more!

December 11th will see Fedde and crew take to the road in a non-stop 9 day tour that will devour 7 major cities sweeping from the west and finishing east. San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta, Puerto Rico, New York City and Miami are all penned for December in what will be his final roundtrip of 2009!

Output has been a major smash for le Grand, which saw him collaborate with the likes of will.i.am, Rob Birch from the Stereo MC's, Mr. V from NYC, Ida Corr, Mitch Crown, Camille Jones and more, to quite devastating effect. His legendary eye for musical detail and his refusal to pigeonhole himself to one single sound has led to the release of a 13-track masterpiece that is pretty much sonic perfection. This tour and will only serve to increase an already exploding American fanbase.

Dragonette en Directo Noviembre 09 Madrid y Barcelona

Dragonette, el grupo de electro pop Canadiense / Británico encabezado por Martina Sorbara presentarán durante Noviembre en directo canciones de su segundo trabajo de estudio “Fixin’ to thrill” (09) y el ya consagrado “Galore” (07).

Tras los conciertos realizados en la parte Americana y Canadiense de la gira, el cuarteto ha seleccionado las ciudades de Berlín, Colonia, París, Londres, Madrid y Barcelona para degustar las melodías deslumbrantes y letras ingeniosas de Dan Kurtz, Joel Stouffer, Christopher Huggett y Martina.
Las salas Ocho y Medio de Madrid y Razzmatazz de Barcelona, serán las anfitrionas del directo de Dragonette tras su paso por ambas en el 07 como parte del elenco del festival Summercase.

El grupo contará con el apoyo de los Djs Jenesaispop más el grupo británico Project:Komanino en Madrid, y los escoceses Slam y Riotous Rockers en la sesión club de Razzmatazz.

“Fixin’ to Thrill” continua demostrando la calidad de composición de las canciones con un sonido inditrónico de sensibilidad pop con ironía a raudales y una imagen de rebeldía que transpira a través de sus actuaciones en directo y vídeos promocionales.
Desde el post-punk gálico de la canción que presta el título al álbum, pasando por el pop glacial de Easy”, Dragonette experimentan con un “country” vestido de bola de espejos (“Gone too far”) y pop de cámara (“You’re a disaster”) mientras siguen entregando su sonido más característico en “Pick up the phone” , “Liar” y “We Rule the World”.

Las vocales de Martina han sido comparadas a Alison Goldfrapp, Sarah Mclachlan, Gwen Stefani y Karen O, lo que no ha pasado desapercibido a artistas como Basement Jaxx y Martin Solveig, que han producido temas en los últimos meses junto con nuestros Dragonette.

Dragonette Live London 18/19 November

Dragonette, the Canadian/British electro pop band fronted by Martina Sorbara will be performing live tracks from their second studio album “Fixin’ to thrill” (09) and the chart topping “Galore” (07).

Fresh from their US and Canadian legs of the tour, the foursome will be stopping on selected European cities before heading down under at the end of November. Berlin, Cologne, Paris, London, Madrid and Barcelona will sample the band’s glistening melodies and witty lyrics on a full live format with group members Dan Kurtz, Joel Stouffer and Christopher Huggett.

London’s voguish Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and Notting Hill Arts Club will be hosting the UK gigs with support from Marina & the Diamonds plus Clock Opera and Brisbane band Yves Klein Blue respectively. Both stages have witnessed early performances from artists like Frankmusik, La Roux, Friendly Fires and Mark Ronson... One last chance to experience Dragonette on an intimate environment.

“Fixin’ to Thrill” continues to demonstrate the band’s excellent song writing skills with an indietronic affair of sophisticated pop sensibilities, flooded with irony, and packing up rebellious punches through their live performances or promotional video outputs.

From the Gallic post-punk on the title track, through the glacial electro of “Easy”, Dragonette experiment with mirror-balled country "Gone too far") and chamber pop ('You’re a disaster') while delivering their trademark sound on “Pick up the phone”, “Liar” and “We Rule the World”.

Martina’s vocals have been compared to an aural foursome of Alison Goldfrapp, Sarah Mclachlan, Gwen Stefani and Karen O, not being unnoticed by artists like Basement Jaxx and Martin Solveig, who have produced of lately successful tracks featuring Dragonette.
