Though I had sixth row tickets, the theatre security gave rows 1-6 "vip bracelets" so that we could walk up to the stage, and I am happy to say that I found a spot front and center. Kristeen Young did a good job, I must say. I also admire her dresses! But shortly after the intermission, Moz took the stage. He came out and said something along the lines of "Oh, go home!" before launching into "Panic". He seemed to be in a good mood throughout the night and treated us with some stage banter and lyric changes. He mentioned something about going to the dentist for the first time in Birmingham and said, "So Birmingham, Alabama has cured me of at least something." He also said "We'd like to try our version of Sweet Home Alabama" before singing "Girlfriend in a Coma". The band played exceptionally well and Boz seemed to be enjoying himself. There was a stage invasion during the encore--"Last of the Famous International Playboys". A girl managed to take the stage and jump on Moz. She clung to him for a few seconds, leaving him standing awkwardly before the security took her off stage. He threw three shirts and shook many hands. Though I came up empty on the shirt and handshake front, our eyes met a couple of times which is nearly just as good to me! I would have taken some pictures but I was just gazing up at him in a stupor for the most part. All in all, it was a wonderful show and I hope I get to attend another one before long!]]>
