Fri 23 Jan – Paisley Party TourI went to the Paisley Party tour concert last night in Bossier City , Louisiana. First off Darius Rucker started the show. He was great....who knew the ex lead singer of Hoottie and the Blowfish would go country. He was really good and has a great voice. He ended his gig with the song Family Tradition (an old Hank Williams Jr. song). It was great and fit him perfectly. The next to come out was my favorite Dierks Bentley. This was my second time to see him. I am sorry about what I am about to say but you ladies will probably understand this but that man is beautiful and when you add his voice to his looks and his songs and his stage presence well.......I felt like one of those silly girls that cry at concerts and get all weepy and faint. Really embarassing but I couldn't help it. When he sang Come a Little Closer I think all the ladies at the concert felt the same as I did......he was singing just to me. Well in my dreams but what a good dream. Okay I have probably embarassed myself again.....writing on a few hours of sleep the morning after the concert is probably not my smartest moment. The point is Dierks is great in concert even if you are a guy....he is a great talent. After Dierks Brad Paisley came out and again....talk about talent. He is a great singer, songwriter, guitar player and I found out an artist. During on part of the show there was a cartoon animation on the big screen and Brad Paisley and his band were doing an instrumental to the cartoon. The subject of the cartoon was Brad and his band were super heroes and they were trying to stop the villians from taking over the world. It was funny and at the end of the cartoon you find out that all of the animation was drawn by Brad Paisley. Who knew.....
Allison Kraus came out to everyones surprise to sing her part in Whiskey Lullaby What a beautiful voice she has....the best female singers voice of all in my opinion.

The show ended with Dierks and Darius Rucker coming out again one last time to sing with Brad and sorry but right now I can't remember what the song was.

If you get the chance and you like this type of music go see this show. If not together than seperatly any one of these 3 men would not be a dissapointment to see.

Oh Pure BS.....Feel The Fire I thought about you.......sigh....

Time Well Wasted

It is getting to be that time of the year again....my favorite time of the year. Football season is back. It's been a long wait since January but it's here. Officially for NFL on Sunday Sept. 9 but college and highschool has already started. Friday night lights are back!!!! Sunday afternoon pro games and Monday night football....the best. Not to mention Sat. college games. To take a line from a Christmas song it's the most wonderful time of the year.

I am and always will be cheering for my beloved Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns and all of the little local highschool football teams around. It's all about the love of the game and whoever you are backing then I hope it's a good year for you also.

Just remember all throughout stadiums and arenas all throughout the USA the same unanswered question is still being asked.......

I just got my television hooked up with DirecTv about a month or so ago. I hadn't really had time to check out what kind of channels are all on there but the other day I had a few min. and came across VH1 classics. Talk about a blast from the past. I was glued to the television...I couldn't take my eyes off of the screen.. it was like watching a bad wreck happen. You don't want to look but you can't seem to help yourself. It was a whole hour on 80's music and thankgoodness I caught it almost half over. I was there in the 80's so that might show my age to some of you but who cares...it was a fun time to be young and dumb(I speak for myself but I am sure I am not alone).

While I was hypnotized by the big hair and bad dancing I had this great idea.... I wrote down a few of the songs that I listened to and realized that the titles together could make up a ridiculous short story. See if you can recognize the titles in my short but stupid story.

Oh Sweet Child o Mine. I knew that you Works Hard For The Money but I didn't know it was for doing the Wild Thing. Now I am Living On The Edge Of A Broken Heart. I Built This City On Rock n Roll for us because I was Mad About You. Now I must Walk Like An Egyptian and leave forever. I have gone to Panama.

The End
