another week, another chance to stream a new, cool album. this time from MGMT. their new album 'Congratulations' leaked the other week, and in response the band, are letting you hear the full thing on their website. the opening track 'It's Working' has a massive Beach Boys, vibe going on which might explain the albums cover artwork. overall the album, kinda feels alot like Belle and Sebastian meets the beach boys with hints of maybe The Beatles or The Kinks. although there are flashes of the old mgmt sound, especially in tracks such at 'Someone's Missing' and the title track 'Congratulations'. but yeah dont take my word for it go listen over at mgmt's site ... and leave ya comments below.

'Logic' is a much more grown up, affair while still incorporating the familiar vocals and catchy lyrics. the album 'Gloves' is out 23rd april digital and 23rd may physical, pre-order links below.

new york, pop wizard Penguin Prison has a new single out this coming monday 22nd. 'The Worst It Gets' is the follow up to 'Animal Animal' which was released last november. penguin prison is set to be featured on the next Kitsuné maison compilation, so it's definitely gonna be a massive few months for mr prison. listen, dance, comment !!!

our newbies this week, come from reykjavík, iceland. FM Belfast a electro indie twee band, who have recently sent blogs all a chatter, with their cover of Rage Against the Machine's, recent xmas number one track 'Killing in the Name'. electro beats, mixed with cute female vocals, make it hard to really pinpoint where fm belfast's sound really fits. but if you need some comparison, think The Knife, jumbled up with CSS. anyway as always, have a listen and leave us you comments below.

Ali Love the person that was lost in the 'K Hole' a couple of years ago, is back with a new single. 'Love Harder' is hitting the shelves february 22nd , although to be fair the tracks been flying around the blog-o-sphere for ages. anyway if that wasn't enough, radio 1's (do they actually belong to the bbc) Jaymo and Andy George have done a massive club friendly, mix of the track which features plenty of bounce.

who are Monarchy ?? no ones really sure, but after the blog-o-sphere sensation of 'Gold in Fire' their back with some new tracks. 'Phoenix Alive' and 'black, the colour of my heart' are set to be massive tracks in 2010, with the times tipping monarchy as one of their sounds for 2010 and Marina and the Diamonds singing their praises. monarchy are definitely another group/duo to keep an eye on. they've got their first ever gig on the 20th january at hoxton bar ... i wouldn't miss it for the world. check out their myspace for all details.
