1. Libass fix. No more stutter with ASS/SSA subtitles.
2. Keypress repeat. Long press on keys will repeat actions.
3. Up/Down button to adjust volume.
4. iOS 5 support.

I have tested my build working on both iOS 4.4.4 (5.0.1) and iOS 5.0.2 (5.1.1).

[Installation Guide]
My build is packaged in the same way as offical's. So you can just override the official build with 'dpkg -i' command.
If you are not sure about how to install XBMC, please read official wiki pages first.

Both versions are in development and are considered unstable pre-releases. It is recommended that you keep up to date on the latest nightly builds.

1. step:
Open http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/darwin/atv2 in your browser and copy the url of the most recent file in that listing

2. step:
In that url you just copied, make note of the file name after "../atv2/". For example it will look something like "xbmc-20110822-e391fde-master-atv2.deb"

3. step
Open up your terminal/ssh application and enter the following commands:

wget PASTE-URL-FROM-STEP-2-HERE
dpkg -i FILE-NAME-FROM-STEP-3-HERE
rm FILE-NAME-FROM-STEP-3-HERE

You should now have the latest nightly build of XBMC for ATV2/iOS. If dpkg hangs, stop it with CTRL+C (may take several attempts) then run "rm -r /Applications/XBMC.frappliance" and then retry the dpkg command.

If that is not working then:
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-seatbeltunlock

1. WinSCP installieren
2. Per SSH ins Apple TV einloggen (Name: root / Passwort: alpine)
3. Terminal über das Menü "Commands -> Open Terminal" starten und nacheinander folgende Zeilen eigeben:

Schritt 1:
- Freeware Winscp laden (oder Cyberduck für Mac)
- darüber Verbindung mit ATV2 herstellen
Rechnername = IP von ATV, Port 22
Benutzername = root
Kennwort = alpine

Schritt 2:
- Das Plugin als *.zip Datei in Verzeichnis /private/var/mobile kopieren (zip nicht entpacken!)
- Über XBMC kann man dann das Plugin als *.zip Datei installieren

Sicherlich habt ihr gemerkt, dass unter XBMC die falsche Uhrzeit angezeigt wird und es keine Möglichkeit gibt, diese über einen Menüpunkt einzustellen. Tobias Liauw hat nun auf seiner Internetseite eine hervorragend funktioniere Lösung präsentiert, die ich hier kurz auszugsweise in seinen eigenen Worten vorstellen möchte.

Schritt 1: PuTTY für Windows mit SSH Zugriff per WLAN installieren
Wer schon weiss wie man sich mittels SSH auf einem System anmeldet kann diesen Punkt wohl überspringen, aber für den normalen User erkläre ich nochmal kurz wie man sich mittels PuTTY auf einem SSH-Server anmeldet. Hierzu ladet Ihr euch schnell die PuTTY Suite unter .http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ herunter, entpackt es und startet die putty.exe.

Schritt 2: Mit PuTTY per SSH über WLAN auf die ATV2 verbinden
Unter Hostname tragt ihr einfach die IP-Adresse des AppleTv2 ein und wählt als Protocol SSH aus. Bei der Sicherheitsfrage bestätigt Ihr diese natürlich mit JA. Sobald die Anmeldemaske euch nach einem Benutzer fragt, gebt ihr “root” und beim Kennwort “alpine” ein. Die folgenden Zeilen können dann ganz einfach per Copy & Paste auf dem System ausgeführt werden:

cd /private/var/db/timezone
rm localtime
ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin localtime

Auch das Deaktivieren der Update Funktion in den nitoTV Einstellungen bringt für viele Besitzer keine Besserung.

Hier die Lösung für das Problem:
Installiert unter nitoTV -> Software installieren das Programm "updateBeGone". Die nervige Updatemeldung mit der Aufforderung auf Firmware 4.3 zu aktualisieren wird damit dauerhaft unterdrückt und XBMC Media Center läuft wieder stabil.]]>
