El Guincho - Awesome, intricate right handed syncopated rhythms and left hand sp-404 work, Guinchez kept the Amazonian Rave going for the full hour of his set, despite that fact that he was exhausted (oh, so tired...). Comparing him to Panda Bear seems completely fucking absurd in a live context.

Ezzzy Attack was pretty awesome, despite malfunctioning synths and loud Rob's in the crowd. Sax guy was awesome (and spotted at the whatismusic festival some days later), and the Psuche Ensemble (the singer or which I had seen play the musical saw with Damo Suzuki at NCS... the entire melbourne music scene is coming together now!) sounded great untill I had to go home (free lift).

But seriously, Lakessounded like This Heat, all tape loops and experimental shouting. And we're rather funny, and if that wasn't the point then I quit life.

Robin Fox was 'mazing as ecpected, being dead center for that laser show was awesome. Overal the night was well worth the entry fee (always is at the toff) and there was some great music at points, things that I didn't like and things to talk about on the way home, which is more than I can say for most international gigs I've attended over the summer.
