Half inspired by the tv show "Metal Evolution" which over 12 eppiosdes looked into alot of genres of metal and the history that i was unawre of. The other half started from collecting vinyl albums less than a year ago and expanding it by luck of the draw by pickin up new records here and there.

So this is an open floor obviously ive got some ground work already laid from looking at similar artists to what i listen to but also looking more into genres. At this current momment i'm going through the "power metal" phase im already fmailiar with some of these bands especially Iced Earth but looking for any reccomendations from the people of music?

Just got back from download 07 and stink to high heaven of sweat, beer, greese, grass, mud and all the other smells of a great festival! So my review to anyone who cares about my opinion or someone thinkin man should i go to festival next year or one comming up this is for you.

This years download in my opinion had a great setlist (maybe best for a while) Just to name some of my top ones that i went to see.

Porcupine Tree
Suicidal Tendencies
Turisas
Slayer
Mastadon
Lamb of God
Dream Theatre
Machine Head
Ill Nino


And many others (check download site for full listings, every band played there ass's off and put on a fuckin good show especially Megadeth ive been a fan for a while and this si first time ive seen them and good god i was blown away! And maiden put on a show spectacula including the very rare song Children Of The Dammed (been waiting for that song to be done live) and alittle secret message about "it takes a long time to build a pyramid" *wink WINK* Which will again be in a field in England *wink wink*. And linkin park did and Turisas did the best job opening the saturday morning with BATTLE METAL! fuckin rocked!

This was my second time at Download so i knew what was goin on and waht happens (and the state of the toilets...)But this download feckin ROCKED i drank more beer than ever before, more laughs and more METAL than you can ever imagine. The camp areas were great fun with alot of yelling "FOR SPARTA!!!!!" "I SAY MOTLEY YOU SAY CRUE" etc etc and many more fun and games with people like THE IRISH! ahaha.

I dunno if this is a rant of a review but Download 07 KICKED ARSE had the best weekend of my life never had a dull momment and im offical exhausted!

So for this easter holidays i set myself the goal of lsitneing to all the offical iron maiden albums (excluding eddies archive and live in japan)

Now after a week i have comeplted the task GO LOOK! every song from the album Iron Maiden to A Matter Of Life and Death includding live albums and back to back donnignotn and a real live dead one.

I know there not all in the right order and ive lsitened to some twice and all that shit but i can put my hand up and say ive lsitened to em all TO THEM ALL!

Well my recent plays and over all top albums show im still alive and lsitening to some of the best fuckin rock in the world! and i dont give a shit waht people say about Iron Maiden they are the best metal band!

Apart from that im a go on a driving lesson in 5 mins so this journal is offically just a time filler for me so dont worry if you think "what the hell" because you will cry anywho.
