Last Friday, I saw Tim O'Reagan and Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion at the Cedar Cultural Center. The show was small (maybe 50 or 60 in attendance), but really nice. Sarah Lee and Johnny are some of the most charismatic performers I've seen, and they fully embraced a free-wheeling, improvisatory style. The highlight of the evening was when all of the performers were on stage performing some of Tim O'Reagan's songs...it felt like I was privy to a private jam session.

The Current's been playing Mykonos (by Fleet Foxes) pretty regularly these days. It's a really nice track, largely because it evokes the 60s-style harmonic vocals so effectively. Evocative of Crosby, Stills & Nash, and perhaps The Mamas & The Papas with California Dreamin'.
The rest of the EP (Innocent Son) is weaker, but listenable.

I've often found Moby listenable, but not worth seeking out. For example, Play has lots of amazingly well-produced tracks that I enjoy but never seek. However, his new record, Last Night, is much more fun to me. Listen to I Love To Move In Here.
