Today i make one year of last.fm scrobbling... and it's been a very interesting year, music wise.

This past year i've listen to A LOT of artist i never knew existed and discovered my my love for some i did knew...

Well, i guess the top top artist this year for me is Milla Jovovich. I always liked her movies but, like most people, didn't know she sings and when i found out i was just addicted to her music *.*

Milla Jovovich's Top 3:

3. Beat on ice

Another artist (band) that i discovered and got addicted was Goldfrapp. One of my first contacts with eletronic music. Their 2005 album Supernature is one the best album i've heard: perfect combination of songs, perfect "order of songs" (starts really dancy with Ooh La La, then gets calmer with songs like Let It Take You and then sums it up with the cool Number 1) and the always great vocals from Alison Goldfrapp. An other album i found perfect too is c but i'll talk about it on the next pharagraph. So, back to Goldfrapp, their new album, Seventh Three is out this year but i've download and i kinda was disappointed... it still got their signature eletronic music but it is very calm and downtempo... a lot more than their first album, Felt Mountain.

Goldfrapp's Top 3:

Next top artist is Juliette & The Licks with their kick ass album "Four On The Floor". Juliette already rocks for herself, singing on a rock band? Best idea ever! I love their exciting music, it makes me wanna sing along and jump sreamming like crazy xD

So, Milla Jovovich has released a bunch of new demos recently along with a new blog entry at MillaJ.com ...

I love them! They still got that folk and eletronic vibe from her past 2 albuns but there's something that sounds so new to me, you know?

lol... i don't know... maybe im going mad but i just love her...

Her music always sends a cool message and i cant help being addicted to them...

Anyways... i also downloaded her performance of Left & Right at the Fashion Rocks 2003... i've seem this show on tv a long time ago but i didnt remember the song she sang o/

Now that i downloaded it became one of my favorite songs from her...

It's been a while since i'm became obsessed with Juliette & The Licks but i just decided to write a journal about it >.<

I first heard them on a music channel, then dig a little and found these great great songs that i cant believe i never heard of it before.

For those who dont know them yet, Julieete and the Licks are a really great rock band lead by Juliette Lewis; from what i heard she didnt quit acting for good but she finds in music a place that she can "play her". I personaly dont enjoy her movies but her music is like no other.

I just love to sing along and rock it out with their musics... all, i repeat, ALL of their songs are good... there isnt that one that u're just like: "This is not as good as the rest of the album" or stuff like that.

My favs are:

... and my favourite album is Four On The Floor.


But one of the things i love about them the most is their performances. They're great! Juliette does crazy moves and stuff and the band itself sounds just as great as in the studio songs.

So this past week i got officialy on vacation and all i've been doing is sleep, watch movies and TV shows, eat and listen to really loud music... so i thought it would be cool to list these artist/albuns/songs that i've been listening to.

Four On The Floor
Last week i started listening to Juliette's Hot Kiss and i've loving them ever since! So i downloaded all their albuns and turns out they were great too. This is my favourite... it's got that kinda punk vibe and Juliettes vocals are just perfect *.*
Btw, i wanna go to "Tim Festival" just to see them!
Favorite track: Smash & Grab.

The Flower Book
I've been listening to her song "Flowers" now cuz i saw the music video on the tv but i was never curious about her albuns 'til i got a recommendation about it and so i downloaded it. It's great! At first i thought her voice sounded like Paris Hilton and in some songs it actually does but Emilies album is way better then Paris' (can't believe i just said that >.<). Her eletronic songs jut make me wanna dance and her chill-out songs are very good too.
Favorite track: I Wanna Be Your Dog.

We Are Glitter
So Goldfrapp is my favorite band ever and i've addicted to their album Supernature since the day i first heard them. But this week i choose to listen to We are glitter... i was not much of a fan of this album but once i heard over and over and over again it started to sound great. I like it cuz the remixes are very "dancy" (duh!) but they're home dancy and not club dancy... ok, that's sounds really weird >.<
Anyways... favorite track: Lovely 2 C U (T.Raumschmiere Remix).

I cannot get enough of this album! All, i repeat, ALL tracks are great and it's just fun to listen to it. CSS is my 2nd favorite band and the fact that they're brazilian doesn't make a difference if u ask me. I love their performances and i just can't wait for a new album. Such a shame that i never went to one of the few concerts they make here in São Paulo =/
Favorite track: Alala.

Hot Fuss
I bought their Sam's Town album but Hot Fuss is still my favorite. Their indie songs are the best of the genre for me and i really love the lyrics. Although my favorite The Killers song is When You Were Young i really like Smile Like You Mean It, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I've Done, Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine, Andy, You're A Star and Mr. Brightside.
Favorite track: Mr. Brightside.

Show Your Bones
Just a great great album. I love to listen to it when i'm playing a game or something... i seriously don't know why o.O
There's not much i can say about this album... i just love it... that's all..
Favorite track: Gold Lion.

Grey's Anatomy Original Soundtrack
Grey's Anatomy is the best TV show of all time for me and of course i had to listen to the great songs that bring more emotion to it. This album features many great songs like Snow Patrols Chasing Cars and The Frays How To Save A Life. Both of this songs have a great emotion coming out of it and it makes u think about it.
Favorite track: How To Save A Life.

So... i've been listening to Peaches... a lot!
I totally love her electro, alternative, pornish musics o/

I downloaded all of her 3 albuns and my favourite is Impeach My Bush. The musics of this album sound a lot like Goldfrapp's Supernature... i think that's why i love it so much o/

Anyways... her other 2 albuns, The Teaches of Peaches and Fatherfucker, are still really good too but they didn't 'got me' like IMB did...

So i'm saying a few things that won't change your vision about her but it can make you understand why some people like me love her.

Personality
For me Paris is just another California girl who made it to Hollywood, playing good or not. That doesn't make her unable to do things like acting, staring a reality tv show, designing clothes and singing... (ok... she can't sing her but off but we'll talk about it later) i try to believe that she's just a normal person who comits several mistakes during her 20s and can be a little bitchy... that's totally normal and ok for me...

Music
We're at last.fm so i have to talk abou her music career;
Her first and probably last album, Paris, isn't the best album ever but it's ok, and if u love pop music like Britney or whatever u'll should like it.
Personally i like 4~5 songs. That's because it's not really my kind of music but i kinda like the beats and stuff.
I just don't understand why people don't get off her... so u don't like her album... whatever... no reason do bitch about it to everybody... when don't like an album i don't go like 'shes just doing this 'cause shes got anything else to do' or go at their myspace and say things about her or even make up silly rumors... u don't have to be like he to love her and u don't have to be totally different than her to hate her... i don't know... u may think i'm an idiot stand here defending her but i seriously couldn't care less... i'm a fan and i'll be on her side 'til i can.

So... like or not please coment...
