The Mix Swap

The box of mix CDs is sat on the door of the venue, and those who bring one with are issued with a happy-face stamp; those without one are brandished with a distinctly sad face.

So: you make a mix for an unknown person at Pic 'n' Mixx, do some artwork if you like... and in return, you get one made by someone else. And there's also a chance you could end up picking one out made by someone pretty special...

I've got Radio 1's Bethan Elfyn contributing a CD, alongside Mark Bowen from Wichita Records, Everett True, Editor of Bearded Magazine Gareth Main, musicOMH.com's Editor Michael Hubbard, thelineofbestfit's Editor Rich Thane, London promoters God Don't Like It and some of my favourite bands too: The Clientele, MJ Hibbett, Lucky Soul, The School, Detox Cute & The Beauty Junkies and Stairs To Korea. And there's the house mixx too, for those that ask nicely.

Cola Jet Set are an endearing Elefant Records band all the way from Barcelona with sun-filled Spanish female voices buzzing with a love for bubblegum pop, mod and surf-pop. They sing in Spanish.
