Erm nothing really, I don't listen too them all that often. I guess just knowing how I started listening to them (i.e. who told me to check them out).

Another year over, yet again. So here are the 10 albums I played the hell out of in 2007.

The Wall: Obviously going to be my number 1. It's my favourite album. Pink Floyd is brilliant. It was my number 1 album last year as well.

The Dark Third: I am a relatively new PRR fan. A friend recommended them to me over the summer. It great stuff. Fell in love with it immediately. Pink Floyd influenced sounds.

Blackfield: Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree frontman) side project with Aviv Geffen. Afer I started listening to PT, I checked out Blackfield. Pretty much, everything Steven Wilson is amazing.

In Absentia: One of my favourite Porcupine Tree albums I think. PT is another band I only just recently started listening to, from a friend's recommendation. Loved immediately. PT's sound is so diverse!

Costello Music: The Fratellis have a very upbeat, dance-friendly sound. Favourite track would have to be Creepin Up The Backstairs. As a side note, I'm surprised this album is so high, I had no idea I listened to it so much, since I haven't listened to The Fratellis in months!

World Through My Eyes: RPWL is yet ANOTHER new artist for me, again a recommendation from a friend. And again Pink Floyd influences. Really amazing song, Roses.

On The Sunday Of Life: Another PT album. Great psychedelic album. Pink Floyd influences, again. lol Great song to check out, Radioactive Toy.

The Beatles 1: "Best of" compilation of Beatles tracks. The Beatles are one of my father's favourite bands, so I grew up listening to their vinyls all the time. Just reaffirming my love this year.

Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy: This album was my number 2 album of 2006. It dropped, but it's still in the top. This album is just awesome. It's so different from ANYthing out there.

Legacy: The Absolute Best: "Best of" compilation of Doors tracks. Just like The Beatles, I'm going back and loving them all over again.

Info: Powerful PT song with audioclips from the heaven's gate cult. It's from their album Lightbulb Sun, an album I want baaaadly but is like $50-$100 'cause of its rarity. -_-

Info: The song is obvious by its title, and the band name just makes me smile. hahaha ^_^* (My therapist said not to see you no more/She said you're like a disease without any cure/She said I'm so obsessed that I'm becoming a bore, oh no)

Duels - A Pretty Good Year
Info: Indie band out of Leeds. You can listen to a whole bunch of their stuff on last.fm for freeee. Quoted as being "new-wave pop with sinister undercurrents".

Beirut - A Sunday Smile
Info: It's the only song I've heard by this band. It's nice, kinda mellow folk? Very old world/gypsy sounding.

Brian Eno - Deep Blue Day
Info: Trainspotting OST!!! lol

Rhett Miller - Come Around
Info: First heard this song on Scrubs. lols! But now I can't stop listening to it. (I remember the night/You came onto me/And opened up my heart/I was hollow then/Till you filled me in/Now I’m empty again/I should have never let it start)

You Say Party! We Say Die! - Nightswimming
Info: Cover of the R.E.M. song by the same name. Definately has a very different feel from the original. But isn't bad....just different. You can get it free for yourself at stereogum.com.

Cat Stevens - How Can I Tell You
Info: Grew up listening to Cat Stevens, one of my dad's favourite artists. Sweet, sad song. (How can I tell you that I love you, I love you/But I can't think of right words to say/I long to tell you that I'm always thinking of you/I'm always thinking of you....)

R.E.M. - Everybody Hurts
Info: ...come on, it's R.E.M.! There should always be some R.E.M. in the mix.

I would really love some new music. Not saying I don't love the music I listen to regularly. But I'd like something new to add to the mix.

Top Albums of 2006

I'm quite suprised Lily Allen is number 3. Seeing as how I only started listening to her in October. That's a lot of plays in a little less than 3 months, wouldn't you say.

I wasn't suprised about The Wall being number 1 however. It's an amazing piece of work. Pink Floyd is THE band. There is no one else who can come close to that sphere of musical excellence.

The Streets was also a given. Mike Skinner is a genius. Top of the game. Nuff said.

Mindless Self Indulgence is awesome. Great stuff to listen to when I'm pulling an all-nighter. Which I did quite often, and it shows. hah

I was a bit disappointed and puzzled when I found that Lady Sovereign didn't make it to the top however. I think there might actually be a glitch with that one. Because she's my number 3 top artist.

Alright then, welcome to a new year.
Full of new music just waiting to be found.
And I'm off to do just that!
