No Ceremony /// at Trinity Centre Hall, London on 18 Jul 2013

Location: Trinity Centre Hall

Even as the buzz around them is slowly but steadily reaching fever pitch, the Manchester based trio NO CEREMONY/// maintain a deliberate air of mystery, an impenetrable sense of enigma which engulfs them as surely as their lush, lysergic electronic soundscapes envelop the listener. With a much anticipated debut LP due later in the summer and more live UK dates to be announced shortly, NO CEREMONY/// look set to capture the hearts and minds of audiences everywhere this year.

plus MYPET

LA duo MYPET announce a free London show at the Sebright Arms. The pair have been gaining applause for their intense electronic pop since they released the creepy debut video for "Pays to Know" last year - the sexiest song ever to be written about a rabbit and a snake. They have followed it up with two more tracks of crunching beats, ritualistic rhythms and melodic chants including their latest offering "Gloria" - three minutes of simple hypnotic beats and a seemingly endless parade of vocal hooks.

Tickets for this show are priced at £7.50 and go on-sale at 9am on Friday 10th May from https://rockfeedback.ticketabc.com/events/no-ceremony/

Ten years of South West Four. Ten years as the UK’s premiere inner city dance festival. Ten years of unforgettable memories, spectacular performances and the world’s greatest electronic artists descending on South West London. This August Bank Holiday Weekend all roads will again lead to Clapham Common, for what Carl Cox has called the “crowning glory” of London’s clubbing calendar.

Carrying forward the culminated hysteria that nine previous years of South West Four has created, the 2013 instalment is guaranteed to be an extraordinary festival experience for all in attendance. This landmark occasion will be celebrated with the biggest lineup SW4 has ever showcased, crammed full of exclusive sets and one-off performances. Incredible, world class talent will be supported by even greater production, as South West Four raises the bar yet again.

Ghostpoet at Hackney Empire, London on 24 Oct 2013

Location: Hackney Empire

Soundcrash presents Ghostpoet live at the Hackney Empire.

Obaro Ejimiwe, aka Ghostpoet, laughs when he remembers how Gilles Peterson “took a risk on a random maverick” back in 2010 by signing him to the Radio 1 DJ’s Brownswood imprint. Within a year, that risk paid off: Ghostpoet’s debut album, Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam, marked him out as one of the most distinct, uncategorisable and forward-thinking voices to emerge in British music this decade, and it was rewarded with a surprise Mercury Prize nomination in 2011. It was a sudden rise for a man who for whom news of a record deal came in the same week that he was made redundant from his office job in insurance.

Two years on, having moved on from Brownswood to [PIAS], Ghostpoet’s creativity has blossomed even more. On his second album, Some Say I So I Say Light, he pushes even further in all directions than on Peanut Butter Blues, mixing the abstract and the concrete with uncanny skill. With his live shows causing a stir wherever they go we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us at the stunning Hackney Empire in October. Don’t sleep on the tickets!
