I've finally got my newer computer back and running (how well is something I still have to find out) and I've got my Itunes back. I'm oh so happy! The only bad part is the movies I have on my Ipod are not on my computer at this time so I'm going to have to transfer them all over again. There is always something, isn't there?

Update:

My computer is not fixed. POS, back to Bestbuy it will go, again.

Not like I get a bunch of people jumping on here to read my random blogs but for the one who might run across it just because, I'm telling you this because, well I feel like it.

I don't have anything listed for being played for awhile because computers are evil. My computer died on me and is in the shop (so to speak). I'm using my old computer, which also died on me a couple of times. So now after forking over a few hundred dollars to get it up and running while my other computer gets fixed, I have yet to add itunes to the computer because I've loaded it so many times and it has that odd thing that you can only load it so many times then you lose your music that you have down loaded.

I really don't feel like losing it all so now I have to go and back up my songs on disc not just my extra hard drive. All too much work for me. Icky. But I will do it, at some point. Then I'll try to get everything up and running again (cross your fingures) sometime soon.

Till then I just keep listoning to my iopd and recharging it over and over. So when I do get things up and running I'm going to have a boat load of music to scrobble.

Ok I'm done with my rant now.

I'd like a way to fix my play list without resetting

When I first signed on to this web page I didn't know that when reading all of my music, the program was going to record the stuff that my husband had listened to on my iTunes as well. Now I've been on here for months and I've listened to a lot of my music (and now my husband has all of his stuff on his own iTunes on his computer) but without resetting and starting all over I don't know of any other way of getting rid of the stuff that he has listened too as well.

Why does this matter, you maybe asking yourself? Because it shows that people who like the same kind of music as I do really aren't as closely paired as they really should be because I have music like Great White and Judas Priest listed as music that I like, and I really really don't. As a matter of fact I can't stand them or a fair amount of my husband’s music. We really don't have a lot in common when it comes to music.

Again you’re probably thinking, “and do you have a point to all of this?” and yes I do. The point I’m trying to make is that I like to look for new music that I haven’t heard through people that have some what similar taste in music, and I can’t truly get that with the way my page is set right now.

So now I have to ask myself, “Do you want to start all over, or just put up with what you have listed”? The answer, I really don’t know. It would be lovely if last.fm had a way of going in and editing your music without starting all over. If anyone knows of a way to do this, please let me know. I would love you forever!!!

While going through my concert list the other day I started to get all nostalgic over my favorite music groups and how I got started on some of them. The 1st one would have to be Concrete Blonde. Not only are they my favorite band but they are also the 1st band that I started listening to on my own that also help me find my own taste in music, other then listening to what all my friends listen to.

Sure Duran Duran was my very first love and I still listen to them today, but they didn't get me going out and looking for other music like Concrete Blonde did. It was a timing thing. Listening to Duran Duran when I was young made it a little hard for me to really get into my own sound of music the way Concrete Blonde did when I was in high school.

Up to the point of finding Concrete Blonde I listened to whatever it was my friends listed to. And don't get me wrong, I found a lot of great music that way. But it was my sound that I was looking for. Something that when I played it, it would take me to some place only I could go. I found that in Concrete Blonde, and I never expected anyone else to understand it. It was all mine.

I found Concrete Blonde the same way a lot of other people did, with their song "Joey". It was their one really big radio hit. One day after my English tutoring class, I was killing time waiting for the bus to take me home. There was a music store near the bus stop and I decided to go in and look around for a bit. For some reason I had "Joey" stuck in my head. I decided to go and look for the CD that had the song on it. I found Concrete BlondeBloodletting and after looking it over for a few minutes I decided I needed to buy the CD even though I only knew one song on the CD. It seemed worth it at the time. And that was the best purchase I'm ever made.

I took the CD home with me and listened to it on the bus ride. I got home and listened to it again another 100 times or so. I couldn't get enough of it. To say I loved it was putting it mildly. I knew I needed more.

The next time I had to go to my English tutoring I made sure I had enough money on me to get at least one more Concrete Blonde CD. I did this ever week until I had every CD that Concrete Blonde had out.

Then one day I heard that Concrete Blonde was going to be playing in concert at the Ventura Theater. I had to go. It was a school night and none of my friends could go because of that reason. I begged my mom to let me go by myself and after making a deal with her that I would call her to come pick me up as soon as the concert was over and that I wouldn't leave the theater until I saw her pull up outside, she let me go. It was one of the greatest nights of my life.

From that moment on I was one of Concrete Blonde's biggest fans. It was all mine too. I didn't expect anyone to understand or even like their music, although all my friends knew not to say anything bad about them in front of me.

When they broke up in the mid 90's, I missed their farewell concert because while trying to get tickets I ended up waiting to long for my friends to answer me on weather or not they wanted to go, and the concert sold out. I promised myself I would never let others decided things for me ever again.

The night of Concrete Blonde last concert I was just down the street from where they were playing at another concert with my best friend. We were at a Ramones concert and although it was a good show and I had a great time I couldn't help but think that I should have been just down the street watching my favorite band play one last time. It took a little fun out of the whole evening.

As luck would have it, it would not be the last time Concrete Blonde would play together. They have since gotten back together and split again. Up and down on bumps but still playing and putting out music from time to time. I've gotten to see them many more time in concert and every time I do I'm just as blown away as the 1st time I got to see them all those years ago.

Simon is still hot (at least I think so).

They had an opening act called Your Vegas. They were pretty good. They are from England and reminded me of a cross between U2 and Kill Hannah.
