Last year from about the end of September I had a 'Favourite Song Of Last Week' lyrics quote, that changed each Monday, and that no-one was interested in, apart from me. So, for my own benefit, I'm trying to remember what they were, in order to put a 'stay for a bit' lyrics quote on the page along with the Song of the Week quote. So this is me, trying to remember what they were.
Lene Lovitch, The Insect Eater
Dead Famous People, Life Said To the Boy and Postcard From Paradise
Low, Words
The Brunettes,
Trembling Blue Stars, Idyllwild
The Smiths, Reel Around The Fountain
The Doves, Ambition
The Clientele, Since K Got over Me
Eels, Souljacker Part 2
The Jesus & Mary Chain, Sugar Ray

And a big hole in my memory....Things will come back....Hopefully.

Favourite Songs of 2008 were:
The Field Mice
'So Said Kay'

"She reached in and placed a string of lights
around this heart of mine."

The Field Mice
'And Before The First Kiss'

"D'you wanna talk?"
"Do you want to?"
"D'you wanna talk?"
"Do you want to?"

2009

Starting early, here, very organised. So far 'Songs of The Week' (note exciting new name change....) have been:

Tiny Words, The Orchids
Mr Shankly, The Smiths
Alison, Slowdive
Fade Into You, Mazzy Star
Running Up That Hill, Kate Bush
36 Degrees, Placebo
Greetings To The New Brunette, Billy Bragg
Suzanne, Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions
Violet, Hole
Sometimes, My Bloody Valentine
Keen On Boys, The Radio Dept (This stayed on for soooo long, due to me not being here, a lot of shoegaze having terrible/ indecipherable words, half my music vanishing when I put it on an external hardrive, & then not being able to make it play etc that name now changed to - 'Song For However Long'. .....Really funny, as if anyone cares....even me.)
This Picture, Placebo
Loosing My Religion, REM (Note: Just b. something's *popular* that doesn't make it *bad*.)
