My top ten Ween tunes selected for the Lost Record Twitter account.

Hi, I'm @rattlebag and I'm going to be taking you through a personal top ten of rock's finest chameleons, Ween, for @thelostrecord

Even thinking about my choices I realised I've missed out a solid hundred songs that deserve to be in here. They churn out the classics.

10 Push Th' Little Daisies - I thought that I would start with one of their biggest hits. An MTV favourite #WeenTop10

That song bleeps out an expletive in the best way imaginable #Prince #WeenTop10

9 Hey There Fancypants - I will warn you that this sugar coated pill won't leave your head #WeenTop10

8 Captain Fantasy - This is the Peel session version of a prog rocker from 'The Pod'. #WeenTop10

As you can probably tell by this point Ween like to juggle genres and styles more than most. #WeenTop10

7 Gabrielle - This is an amazingly accurate Thin Lizzy pastiche that really hits the spot #WeenTop10

6 Don't Laugh (I Love You) - "Ernest Hemingway will always be there for me" #WeenTop10

5 Beacon Light - Proof that their cast offs are better than most band's singles. From the X-Files album #WeenTop10

4 The Mollusk - This little beauty comes from their nautically themed album of the same name #WeenTop10

I remember vividly Vic Reeves being on a kid's program when I was a teenager and being given a copy of Chocolate and Cheese by the presenter. #WeenTop10

3 Japanese Cowboy- Ween recorded a full album with Nashville session musicians and this is a highlight #WeenTop10

2 Stay Forever - A poignant song that has taken on a little more meaning after Ween's recent split #WeenTop10

The Stay Foreversingle also hides one of my favourite B-sides by any band ever in Who Dat? #WeenTop10

1 Freedom of '76 - How could this be anything else. One of the best songs from the nineties. Just beautiful #WeenTop10

6 Your Name Is Wild - 1996 - About Bob's daughter. "Wild and cool those are my kids"

5 Choking Tara (Creamy version) - 1997 expanded version of the Mag Earwhig!
song. Faster, bouncier, hookier!

4 Dusted - 1993 - From the darker and weirder

Vampire on Titus. A pop tune buried under fuzz and drums.

Live used to do an acoustic cover of Dusted which makes me chuckle for some reason

3 Big School - 1993 - Guided by Voices used to bury some of their best tunes on their 7"s This is an ANTHEM!

2 Dodging Invisible Rays - 1995 - GBV wasn't solely a Pollard vehicle. This Tobin Sprout ace rivals any tune

1 Game of Pricks - 1995 - A ramshackle Beatles-esque tune that is a strong contender for best song of the 90s
