Time for a new journal entry me thinks.
So I got sent 'Chelsea Dagger' by The Fratellis in the post to review. My previous thoughts were that both 'Henrietta' and 'Creeping Up The Back Stairs' sounded pretty indistinguishable from the newest arrival... and yet when it came on I couldn't help but prance around the room like a complete mad person. Who else has this problem? Anyway, as a result I'm seriously considering purchasing their album. Anyone agree/disagree and can tell me whether this is a good idea or not?
In other news I have abandoned my indie roots and discovered a new found liking for 'Sexy Back' by Justin Timberlake. I'm thoroughly ashamed of myself... it's just, it's so damn danceable! Grr.
Finally I would just like to add that I think with time I probably will fall in love with The Killers' new track 'When You Were Young' if given a couple more chances to listen to it. I don't think I'll love it as much as I do 'Andy You're A Star' though.
Enough musings for one day! Over and out.
A x

Step 1: Put your Media Player/iTunes or equivalent on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarassing.
Step 3: Bold the song when someone guesses correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
NOTE: Artists used more than once.

Some of these are easy as pie, others not so much...

1) The party's alright, I might wanna stop drinking

2) Oh lord, I'm so bored of living on my own. You're devilish and dirty, they say you're pushing 30, well pushing 30 stone

3) Back and forth that voice of yours keeps me up at night

4) I don't feel better when I'm fucking around and I don't write better when I'm stuck in the ground

5) What's wrong baby? Don't they treat you like they should?

6) You speak to me, I know this will be temporary

7) Here's the thing, we started out friends. It was cool but it was all pretend

8) I'm tired of being what you want me to be, feeling so faithless lost under the surface

9) As I walk in the dirty rain, acid seeping through my brain

10) Love, love me do.

My first entry here, hurrah! At the moment I'm loving We Are Scientists! Can't get enough of their catchy indie-pop tunes.. they've got just enough edge to set them apart from the endless waves of indie-shite that's currently penetrating main-stream indie (yes I'm talking to The Kooks and The Zutons of this world!). Can't wait to go and see them for the third time in October, it's going to rock!
I'm also on a bit of a Strokes kick at the moment. I was worried with the release of First Impressions Of Earth it would be more of the same of what was on Room on Fire, but they really have just gone from strength to strength.
Anyway, enough rambling for now!
