I thought i better put more than AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH into describing the gig so here it goes..

Night started with me arriving quite early and picking up a nice new t-shirt. Was the one with the love to admire moose thang on the front and the dates on the back, so was pretty chuffed with that :D

Friendly fires were the support and they were alright, one or two catchy numbers which had me tapping my foot but all sounded a bit sameish. Felt bad for the guitarist who was trying to get the crowd going by clapping his hands only to get nothing back haha :( poor fella.

Then the main act themsleves! I know i'm biased because i was at the gig but i can't remember hearing them sound that good in any of the live recordings. It was just little things that did it for me, instead of the keyboard background that they sometimes use at the beginning of narc it was just the guitars. I know its the most stupid thing to notice or even write about but it was just the small things that had me about ready to explode.

Started with pioneers to the fall followed by obstacle 1. My mate gave me a rude gesture following this and called me a smart ass due to my awesome predictions. I was also getting strange looks from two girls in front of me, who knew people didn't like others shouting out the lyrics in a terrible singing voice? Anyway, more of the show.. A good mixture from each album, more than chuffed with all the old school turn on the bright lights stuff. No roland or untitled, but beggers can't be choosers eh?

Thought the crowd changed after Slow Hands, everyone (up the front anyway) started going nuts and was one of the highlights of the show for me. Others were PDA and Stella Was A Diver, just thinking about it.. aaaaaaahh! Other highlight was carlos almost breaking his neck when he was looking round to see what happened to the guy standing beside me who got knuckled out by four bouncers after smoking, thanks for that by the way pal. Another highlight was everyone getting the interpol chant during PDA whenever they stopped during the first and second verse (even though he tried to stay cool im pretty sure i saw a cheeky grin from paul). And the best part of the whole night was me getting a set list at the end :D Pretty sure it was Sam's as i got the last one. Have to say thanks to the big guy who let me have it after i dropped my catch (god damn butter fingers), he already had one but i'll just call him my good Samaritan.

No 'A Time To Be So Small' but it just gives me an excuse to go back and see them next time =)
