Rilo Kiley - good, but i've become bored
Bright Eyes - okay so like really good five years ago, but now im bored
my favorites Trespassers William have a little bit of a southern sound sometimes - obviously i am still in love
this might be a stretch, but there are some songs by Now It's Overhead that have a southern-y sound to them - very very good, not tired of them yet
there are others but im afraid i would be shot down if i tried to link them to this kind of sound, though i would say there is certainly a heavy influence (and a lot of them are more than a few years old (at least in terms of when started listening))

Andrew Bird, Calexico, Cat Power, Loney, dear, Sufjan Stevens(though with him i think it's the point, to be influenced by the state he's in), The Good Life, Cursive, Son, Ambulance, Desaparecidos, Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins, A.C. i sort of dislike the use of the compound term, "Classic Rock"
i think it's really ugly and surprisingly pretentious
i say surprising because, the people i know who actually listen to "classic rock" are not the same people i would associate the word pretentious with
whatever

point is these are my "Classics" in a crescendo from softer, more ambient material to "hard"-er stuff
