And no one does it better than Nick Ziemann of Number One Fan. However, they decided they were too cool to write absolutely beautiful music about a year ago, and I haven't fogiven them since. (Screw The Robins, give me more NOF!)

Next in line for the throne, though, is Nathaniel Le Marin, formerly of Ivory. Ivory itself was heavily influenced by NOF, but Nathaniel has turned up the piano and the result is stunning.

Emo is classic post-hardcore emo of the 90s. (ie: Sunny Day Real Estate)

Post-emo is indie to punk with a distinct emo influence. (ie: Spitalfield)

Emo revival is indie to punk with little resemblance to emo. (ie: Fall Out Boy) Not to be confused with watered-down pop-punk or indie.
