This means I can get one CD a week, so (assuming I don't forget/find something else to spend my money on) I'll review one CD a week.

This week you can have 4, since I haven't done one of these before. So, in ascending order:

4) Eye To The Telescope.
The good tracks are amazing. They're catchy, they're emotion-y, they're cheery. The slower, sad songs are still good, but seem half-arsed compared to the happy ones.

3) Fires
I heard Everybody's Gone To War on the telly, and fell in love. It's an amazing song. If you like it, you'll love the rest of the album. Almost every song is full of energy and a cheeriness that you can't avoid. It's the most upbeat CD I own, easily.

2) Louder Now
I was resistant to getting this album. I'm not the biggest fan of Taking Back Sunday. Their songs have ranged from not good to mediocre in the past, IMO. This album's different. It's all at least very good. The top tracks are truly awesome. They've come out of their shell with this album, I think. Although it's clearly TBS stuff, it's also clearly new and unique.

1) Kill Your Own
Phwoar. Whereas almost every CD has a duff track, this CD has kept my attention all the way through. It's lyrically and musically interesting, almost every song makes me want to spring into air-guitar and the album art is very awesome. Also, the video for the title track is very cool. Seriously, if you only listen to one thing I ever say, listen to this. buy this album. If you're disappointed, you have permission to hunt me down.

I love the verse that starts "Time every journey to bump into you accidentally" and ends "you smile, mention something that you like, how you'd live a happy life if you did the things you like". It is a verse of brilliant lyrics.

The Jack Slap Cheer. What, you thought I was gonna get over The Matches? You thought WRONG.

This song is awesome. It just eminates "would be awesome live" (*shakes fist at crapness of being in England and not paying attention to any kind of live schedule thing. Also at long bracketed sections.*) It has some lyrics that still make me laugh. "your mom ain't home, she's out stripping for your education" is one of the best your mum jokes ever to incorporate into a song succesfully.

Ugh. I really am crap at reviewing songs.
