Why lose the power of the scrobble over at Pandora when you can use this cool Firefox extension to capture your music listening history there too?

Please be aware that this application is still being worked on. If you encounter problems, do not hesitate to provide feedback in the forum. This especially applies to experimental features, like radio playback or smartphone support.

Before you start, be sure you meet the following requirements:

- your device runs at least Windows Mobile 5
- your device needs .NET Compact Framework 2.0 installed

I wrote it in C# so you need the .NET 2.0 Framework. I was only able to test it with the 3.1.8.4(DE) german version of Napster. I would like to get some feedback from other localized versions of the client.

Be aware that it is a very early version. So please pay attention to the readme before using it. Write a private message or a mail (napsterscrobbler[at]googlemail[dot]com) if you have any questions.

Experimental / prototype / beta widget. Sign in to your Last.fm account and choose a BBC Radio station (only Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music and 1Xtra are available at the moment). The currently playing song is retrieved and is added to your profile (unless you decide to add songs manually) and other recommended artists are displayed.

This program will look for tracks played from Real's Rhapsody service and submit them to the Audioscrobbler database.

Everything sent by this extension goes directly to the Last.fm servers and nowhere else.

It supports caching of the track data if the AudioScrobbler submission server is down or having issues.

It works in Firefox and Flock, and can probably be made to work in other Gecko browsers.

The code is Javascript and XUL, and uses XMLHttpRequest to send the data to the Audioscrobbler servers.

As you listen to music on your device, MobileScrobbler sends the title, artist, and album to Last.fm. This information is then used to suggest new music, new friends, concerts, and events based on the music you enjoy.

It is a separate application and shares some similarities with iScrobbler for Mac OS X. Songs can be played repeatedly, pausing is allowed, MBIDs are submittted and iPod played songs are supported, including iPod shuffle played and multiple played songs. Manually updated iPods are also supported as well as Motorola iTunes phones.

Amarok has full support for last.fm streams. This includes advanced features known from the last.fm player, like skip/love/ban, cover images and metadata.

It is implemented with MySQL, and PHP. It allows you to view, edit, and play your audio files via the web. It has support for playlists, artist and album views, album art, random play, playback via Http/On the Fly Transcoding and Downsampling, Vote based playback, Mpd and Icecast, Integrated Flash Player, as well as per user themes and song play tracking. You can also Link multiple Ampache servers togeather using XML-RPC. Ampache supports GETTEXT translations and has a full translation of many languages.

BMPx is excruciatingly simple to use, while being very powerful under the hood. BMPx is based on the current experimental codebase of the BMP project. BMPx has native integration of Last.fm's services.

It\'s primarily made for CMUS, a ncurses based music player, but could be used as a general purpose scrobbler with only minor modifications.

The Hype Machine tracks a variety of MP3 blogs. If a post contains MP3 links, it adds those links to its database and displays them.

PandoraFM is simple. As you listen to music via the excellent Pandora music service each song gets submitted to your profile on Last.FM. You're listening to music, so why shouldn't you be able to account for it? Some call it a mash-up, others call it a hack. I call it Pandora.FM.

It has a Last.fm extension for playing Last.fm radio, scrobbling songs, and showing similar artists.

Synergy is a tiny Cocoa application for Mac OS X 10.2 (and later) that puts three buttons to control iTunes in your menubar: previous track, next track, and play/pause; as well as providing you with visual feedback about the currently playing tune. Synergy can even automatically download and display the cover of the currently playing album. ScrobblePod is an OSX-based scrobbbler designed as a replacement for all others, most of which are either too complicated or don't support the functionality to scrobble iPod listening history.

Audioscrobbler is a service that tracks listening habits. It offers services for audio meta data submission, feeds for several listening statistics and artist informations and some streaming capabilities.

Ascrblr aims to implement these services in the Java language.

Written in pyS60, the Python programming language for S60 mobile phones, this project is currently in the beta stage.

PyScrobbler provides bindings for both submitting tracks and querying the web services. It is being used in existing apps, including: Exaile, the music player, and Sleevenotez, the music data aggregator.

Exaile is a music player aiming to be similar to KDE's Amarok, but for GTK+ and written in Python. This app is an offline-scrobbler for Trekstor's Vibez portable music player which means it feeds your last.fm profile with the music you listened to whilst on the go.

Aside from a Trekstor Vibez, and obviously a last.fm account, this app has the following requirements:

From version 0.2 on It'sGotTheVibez should support ANY operating system which provides a standards compliant Python installation / for which Python has been ported. This includes, for example, all major Linux distributions, several Apple OSes and all 32 Bit Windows NT-Kernel based OSes (NT, 2K, XP, Vista). KEXP Scrobbler displays the song currently playing on KEXP online and appends it to your Last.fm profile.

Rhobbler was created by Erik Peterson as a hobby project, and allows Last.fm users to track their Rhapsody listening habits via the Rhapsody-generated RSS feed.

Savonet is a set of open-source tools working towards audio stream generation, and in particular webradios. Savonet is mainly written in OCaml. At the core of Savonet is Liquidsoap, the programming language that ties all the pieces together. Savonet also provides OCaml libraries to the open-source community, especially bindings of widespread C libs.

This ocaml module provides an API to audioscrobbler, the lastfm submission protocol, as well as the radio API, which allows to listen to Last.fm streams/radios.

To customize the installation simply edit the install script. Otherwise, just add your Last.fm and MPD information to the /etc/mpd-scrobbler.conf file.

It allows you to listen to your last.fm radio stations and to scrobble tracks played using the Nokia S60 Music Player. Music player scrobbling can be done both whilst you listen, or queued offline to be submitted later.

Based on the open source KEXP scrobbler by Markus Palme, written in CSharp using the Windows dotNet Framework, this application can be downloaded as source or installed from the available executable.

Thge developer site is in Italian, but if you know what a j2me client is we are sure you can figure it out. Apparently there is an issue with streaming but the developer has a workaround for this.

When downloading the blastfm.sis file, it will install 3 seperate applications, Python for S60, S60 Internet Radio and finally Blastfm.

Install this on your mass storage memory and you should avoid any problems that arise out of using the internal storage.

After installation simply insert your username and password to get started!

Be aware this is a 128k stream in the S60 Internet Radio player so ensure you have a unlimited data plan or you can use over wifi.

Muxtape is a website that allows users to upload playlists of MP3s, based on the idea of a mixtape. It was created by Justin Ouellette in March of 2008, and as of July 2008, you can scrobble the muxtapes you listen to, to your heart's content.
