Why lose the power of the scrobble over at Pandora when you can use this cool Firefox extension to capture your music listening history there too?

Please be aware that this application is still being worked on. If you encounter problems, do not hesitate to provide feedback in the forum. This especially applies to experimental features, like radio playback or smartphone support.

Before you start, be sure you meet the following requirements:

- your device runs at least Windows Mobile 5
- your device needs .NET Compact Framework 2.0 installed

I wrote it in C# so you need the .NET 2.0 Framework. I was only able to test it with the 3.1.8.4(DE) german version of Napster. I would like to get some feedback from other localized versions of the client.

Be aware that it is a very early version. So please pay attention to the readme before using it. Write a private message or a mail (napsterscrobbler[at]googlemail[dot]com) if you have any questions.

lastfmsubmitd is a replacement for the traditional Last.fm plugin model. Instead of re-implementing networking and caching code in each plugin, player plugins can simply send song information to the daemon, which will take care of the rest.
lastfmsubmitd is written in Python, but requires no extra dependencies. Writing new player plugins should be as painless as possible.

Audioscrobbler is a service that tracks listening habits. It offers services for audio meta data submission, feeds for several listening statistics and artist informations and some streaming capabilities.

Ascrblr aims to implement these services in the Java language.

PyScrobbler provides bindings for both submitting tracks and querying the web services. It is being used in existing apps, including: Exaile, the music player, and Sleevenotez, the music data aggregator.

Note: PyScrobbler is currently looking for developers to help keep up with API changes.

iPodScrobbler allows you to scrobble your iPod, whether connected via Windows PC or Mac. The script is designed for people who prefer more fine-grained control over what gets scrobbled and is extendable.

Designed for lazy people with minimal manual interaction required: plug the thing in, a notification pops up, click a button, and you are done!

Rhobbler was created by Erik Peterson as a hobby project, and allows Last.fm users to track their Rhapsody listening habits via the Rhapsody-generated RSS feed.

Savonet is a set of open-source tools working towards audio stream generation, and in particular webradios. Savonet is mainly written in OCaml. At the core of Savonet is Liquidsoap, the programming language that ties all the pieces together. Savonet also provides OCaml libraries to the open-source community, especially bindings of widespread C libs.

This ocaml module provides an API to audioscrobbler, the lastfm submission protocol, as well as the radio API, which allows to listen to Last.fm streams/radios.

To customize the installation simply edit the install script. Otherwise, just add your Last.fm and MPD information to the /etc/mpd-scrobbler.conf file.

Based on the open source KEXP scrobbler by Markus Palme, written in CSharp using the Windows dotNet Framework, this application can be downloaded as source or installed from the available executable.

If you haven’t experienced it yet, Google Music Beta (http://music.google.com/) is pretty awesome and was recently released to an undisclosed number of people as a trial beta period. One of the features I find crucial in any music players is the ability to Last.fm Scrobble, and thus the reason for this script.

So here you have it, brand new and released a couple days into the Google Music Beta. Keep in mind this is a growing project, and will grow with the same feature list on my Amazon Cloud Player Last.fm version (http://build.last.fm/item/561).

Although Amazon Cloud Player has a ton of awesomeness to it already, it’s still lacking a few features. One of the features I find crucial in any music players is the ability to Last.fm Scrobble. So here you have it, brand new and released exactly one week after Amazon Cloud Player hit the market.

What is xmp-scrobbler?

It's a plugin for XMPlay (http://www.un4seen.com/xmplay.html). It lets you "join the social music revolution at Last.fm" with your favourite music player.

OK, so what do I do now?

Download xmp-scrobbler (link below) and copy it to XMPlay directory. Xmp-scrobbler is a DSP plugin so go to the options and add it there, then click Config, enter your username and password and tick Enable plugin checkbox. And that's all! Now just listen to your favorite music like you always do - nothing's changing, xmp-scrobbler works in background and will not bother you with popup windows, dialog box messages etc.

This plugin doesn't work / it crashed XMPlay / froze my system / ate my sandwich

There are still occasional issues with cache corruptions and mid-track crashes, but these can be solved by deleting the xmp-scrobbler.cache file.

Chrome: Music Plus is an extension for Google Music that adds popup controls, HTML5 notifications, Last.fm scrobbling and bios, song downloading, global keyboard shortcuts, and lyrics to Google's nascent cloud-based music player. Basically it takes Google's pretty cool web-based music player and makes it awesome.

Note: You need to have a Google Music account to use this extension. Currently Google Music is in beta and only available in the United States. If you're not seeing an enabled feature in your Google Music tab, try refreshing your Google Music tab.

When you firstly come to a supported website a new tab opens where you have to authorize the extension to use the Last.fm API. You need to do this only once, when the extension is firstly installed; it isn't needed on updates (which are automatic, of course).

The status of scrobbler is shown in the omnibox (the addres field) on the right by the icon. Optionally you can enable desktop notifications and Youtube specific statuses (as shown on the extension preview).
Note that it may take a while to contact the server and the "Scrobbling" text won't be added until Last.fm server confirms the reqest.

If the song doesn't get recognized, you can manually correct the title by clicking on the scrobbler icon. (This works only when song is not recognized - question mark icon.)

To temporarily disable scrobbling, click the status icon in the omnibox.
